Barikenn Carrere Montebello Brut de colonne - Canne rouge 2019
Cut grass, sugarcane juice and a savory streak of artichoke and green pepper, with a little overripe melon poking through. At 81.6% it's a beast, but most tasters say the alcohol is shockingly well integrated for the strength. Earthy, vegetal, properly dry — one reviewer called it "hot and brutally tasty," which sums it up. It really shines in a Ti'Punch.
- ABV well integrated
- Fresh sugarcane
- Great in Ti'Punch

How does Barikenn Carrere Montebello Brut de colonne - Canne rouge 2019 taste?
Aggregated from 23 community reviews.
Brutal-strength agricole, brilliant in a Ti'Punch Loved for how well that huge 81.6% is hidden, plus its grassy, vegetal terroir. Most find it too brutal to sip neat, but a few say the aroma range feels a touch narrow.

After resting for a good while this was a very nice surprise. Warm and intense with fruit and clear cane notes. I like the fermentation notes as well as freshness. I'd say price matches the quality.

Interessant.
Review by Galli33
Wow the 81% are integrated very well. Blind i would say approx. 60%. It‘s like a solid agricole with some crazy notes of artichokes. I see this more as a mixing rum than drink it straight. Very nice as a sample 🤓

Leckerer Ti'Punch 😋

Viel Fruch bzw. Zuckerrohr. Geht in Richtung Übereifer Papaya und vergorener Honigmelone. Also durchaus süßlich.
