First off the price is pretty good compared to what you get. This release is very close the the 2008 version except for the nose that has a tweak to it that I can't put my finger on. Spice with roasted wood/smoky notes and some fruit, what's not to like.

Now a nice SBS, Mauritius 2010. I find this great. Nice fruity nose, mostly consisting of red fruits. Also some wood is recognizable. On the palate also wood and cherry, with a bit of port wine added.

Great rum from Martinique with a very fruity and creamy nose. Cherry, spices, nuts and roasted aromas come to the fore alongside the port wine. On the palate, it is somewhat softer and creamier compared to the Moscatel cask, which could also be due to the 46%. The port finish brings cherry, dried fruits and spices. Some roasted notes and pepper then lead into light tea notes. The long and yet intense finish offers impressions of barrel and leather in addition to the mentioned aromas. The port makes this rum very interesting and I can only recommend it.
