Only nine months old, yet tasters keep calling it complex — that's the surprise here. Fresh grassy sugarcane leads, then honey, plum and a butter-cream softness, with peppery dryness and a touch of tobacco underneath. One reviewer even caught a faint mezcal-like smoke. A few find the 57.5% alcohol not quite tucked in yet, but the cream body wins people over.

Note: Employment at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement with evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. Very very tasty and a bargain for 20€ locally! Awesome notes of peach iced tea, mirabelle jam, honey and pastries! Also slightly smoky like mezcal 💣 clear upgrade due to the higher alcohol content!

It’s a great Rhum being so young that I really can recommend. By the way is the Agricole’s from Madeira the only ones outside the French Overseas Departments that’s widely recognized as true Agricole’s.

The next Agricole, but it doesn't reach the level of the previous ones. Like all Agricoles, we have a very vegetal nose here. Fresh, grassy and Agricole notes are also recognizable. On the palate, the sugarcane comes through, but I find the alcohol not so well integrated. Still okay though.

For me, not a big Agricole fan, a bottling you can drink once in a while. Got the opened bottle from the Perola donation shelf. But as a mixer quite usable for me for a relaxed summer drink.

Poorly integrated alcohol and only a lot of sugar cane and slightly buttery. What is nice is the consistency. Nice and creamy.

Thanks to Pedro Ferreira who gave my in-laws some rum samples :-) Very impressive rum for 9 months of aging. Already complex, interesting caramel nose with dairy products, floral notes and fruits. In the mouth spicy dry and sweet and fruity at the same time. In the finish a dry and spicy tea flavor accompanied by sweet fruit.

Very fruity nose that opens on vanilla. Notes of aniseed as well. In the mouth, cane and tobacco dominate. A very good esb that keeps the strength of the white with some notes of barrel.
