Liquid Treasures Labourdonnais 2010
"I'd have bet on a Lowland whisky blind," says one member, and that's the whole story here. Smoky, medicinal, peaty notes dominate from nose to finish, with grapes, cherry and a herbal-honey sweetness underneath. A couple of tasters mention grassy, almost agricole-leaning cane. Rum character barely shows — this drinks like a peated single malt that happened to start as molasses.

- Creamy soft body
- But: Barely tastes of rum

How does Liquid Treasures Labourdonnais 2010 taste?
Aggregated from 17 community reviews.
Smoky, peated whisky-like Mauritius single cask Divisive: several felt so strongly it tastes whisky-finished they wanted it labelled that way. Fun if you love peat, frustrating if you came for rum.

Would have tasted blind on a light Lowland whiskey tipped. With a few dashes of herbal lemonade and cold mint tea. No complexity monster, but definitely very idiosyncratic. Is not an Agricole by definition, but goes in this direction.

Strange finish that does not give me Barbados wibes at all. Maybe it is because of the cask finish or unexpected associations, but not my case at all . Rather disappointing :-( I just don’t understand why you would ruin a good distillatie like this

From the nose to the finish dominate very smoky whiskey notes!A pure rum flavor is hard to define!Overall, however, who likes smoky whiskey, a pleasant rum that spreads creamy soft in the mouth! In the finish join still slightly grassy flavors added

It must have a whisky finish! Unfortunately, it's not my cup of tea.
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
So if this doesn't have a whiskey finish, I'll eat my hat. Very strong smoky, medicinal aromas, along with some grape, cherry, and herbal honey, as well as cocoa. Unfortunately, the whiskey notes dominate very strongly and I can not understand why such a thing is not shown on the bottle ... Can you drink already but then should stop Whisky Finish drauf Stehen...
