Ron Zacapa EL ALMA The Soul Cask (Heavenly Cask Collection)
Most people land on the same read: this is the Zacapa profile with extra oak from heavily charred ex-bourbon casks. Expect caramel, vanilla, dried fruit and burnt orange peel, with roasted walnut and a touch of bitter almond. A few find it better than the Solera 23 because it's a little less sweet and woodier. Nobody calls it complex — it's easy, soft and sweet.
- Caramel and oak
- Less sweet than 23
- Easy drinking

How does Ron Zacapa EL ALMA The Soul Cask (Heavenly Cask Collection) taste?
Aggregated from 49 community reviews.
Soft, sweet, oak-forward easy sipper Liked for its rounded caramel-and-oak balance, and several prefer it to the standard Solera 23 for being drier and woodier. The honest catch: simple, soft, with a short-to-medium finish.

I actually like this better than the Solera 23 because it's not quite as sweet. Overall, it's a bit woodier, almondy, and dark caramel. Fig, vanilla, and a very light white pepper on the finish.

Kurzer Abgang. Ein gefälliger, einfacher Rum. Schmeckt gut, süß und süffig. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.

The taste offers roasted walnuts, burnt caramel and apricots, as well as a bitter almond taste that dominates the palate.

#4423 Whisky & Rom Festival 2023 28.10.2023 Notes. Sweet and fruity with caramel and wood. Nice balance between wood and spices. Light tobacco note on the finish.

An incredibly round and balanced rum, which brings the post-maturation in heavily charred ex-bourbon casks to the fore. The fruit is skillfully restrained on the palate and is crowned by a long-lasting finish.

Second bottle of heavenly cask edition. This one adds the wooden flavor to the zacapa rum. It is in nosing, taste and strong in finish. Accompanied by caramel, tropical fruits and vanila
