14.02.2026 Retasting and I still like it a lot. ----------- Wow, this is a game changer. A super high quality release from Guildive. If you like to release more flavours the add a drop or two of water! Funky from opening the bottle to the end of the long finish. Fruits are there and mostly on the nose where you get an overripe/rotting fruit note. On top of that you have the other typical Jamaican notes. The palate is warm and well balanced between the tar and glue on one side and the fruit and vanilla, salt and chocolate on the other. The finish is very long and lightly salty with banana and funk. Price is pretty good.

Very good example of the 1993 Hampdens, already on the slightly sour-smoky side, but also with a broad range of aromas around the obligatory high ester fruit notes of pineapple, mango, citrus fruits. The 23 years of aging add strong wood notes, spices, a bit of olive, and sweet pastry notes. Extremely intense in a positive way and among the top continental-aged Hampdens.

A nose of tropical fruits way too ripe, esters and integrated wood. A side of glue, fermented and nail polish as well. The mouth is quite powerful with the same aromas as on the nose with a more present fermented side. The finish is balanced, and all aromas descend together, the glue remains even longer than the rest.

1993 HD continental - pretty crazy stuff that the guys from Zurich found there. Once a slow seller, it flew under the radar for a long time because it was only known in the small Swiss scene, but nowadays many collectors (in vain) are looking for it. Very broad, multi-layered fruit aromas, very well integrated alcohol, intense and long finish, really leaves no wishes unfulfilled.

This is a nice diamond h, and a nice easy version of it. It doesn't fall into the traps that most of the 93 fall into and becomes to woody and acidic. It unfortunately also means that this one will stand behind its potential
