Legendary stuff of the gods! 🤤 Even after such a long time in the barrel, not overtaken, still super intense-spicy, funky & fruity... And 76.8% ? Are you kidding me? 🤣 It feels like it has a maximum of 63%... Alk is extremely well integrated even if it bites a little but this thing is really fun! Tastes like a kind of prune-baked banana balsamic, furry kiwi & mango with some dates & mint, various baking spices, slightly burnt wood, tannins and caramelized coconut ... Simply wonderful! Blindly, I would put this on top of what is probably the best 1994 New Yarmouth. Absolutely awesome....

9,1:On the nose, toasted coconut, roasted wood notes with crème brûlée, roasted nuts and butterscotch, a lot of oak, spicy with vanilla, yellow fruits and solvents, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, citrus fruits arise, some of the fruits are now candied, variety of new roasted wood notes like cocoa, brioche and pastry, spicy with baking spices. 9,1:On the palate, the attack is intense, but delicious with tons of fruits like mango, coconut, yellow fruits, orange, on oxidation arrive dried apricots, raisins and prunes, some papaya.All along we taste strong bourbon barrel impact, as sweet roasted wood notes like toffee, biscuits, pastry, milk chocolate, roasted nuts, oak-spicy with vanilla and baking spices, pair above mentioned delicious fruits, some of them become candied, when the rum is well rested. 9:The finish is long, dry and tannic, fruity and woody as on the palate, now joined with earthy, grassy molasses. When crosstasted with other Long Ponds, this one is a little more tamed in the glass. Again, quite a lot of accessible notes such as coconut, ger. Nuts, various spices, tropical and dried fruits, caramel and some glue in the background. Edit: Gets more intense/better with a lot of time in the glass.

again such a Plantation bottling that proves courage! Like the HJF 2002, with over 70% and leave that so without reducing! The courage has also paid off here fully: The notes of mango, coconut, prune, toffee, milk chocolate are wonderfully accentuated by the high ABV, almost no sharpness! Chapeau!

A horny drop. Enormous power thanks to almost 77% vol. Nevertheless, the alcohol is very well integrated. A slight sweetness pairs with the typical LP flavor profile. Middle finger finish.

A truly surprising Rum in every way! First of all, the ABV is extremely well integrated on both the nose and the palate, and the tropical maturation is just perfect, not too woody and fruity to perfection. An excellent long-weight column!

What a blast... very tasty stuff and just my thing. Rich tropical storage with fine oak, vanilla, and toffee notes, some coconut and cocoa, as well as tropical fruits (mango, papaya) and glue. You'd think you had a tropical Column Guyana in your glass.

76.8% alcohol!!! If it were not on the label, I would not have believed it! But from the start: the nose spreads a strong fruit of ripe plum and mango, accompanied by pleasant sweetness and delicate vanilla!On the palate, the rum spreads pleasantly with fruitiness and sweetness, which is then followed by a slight spicy sharpness and vanilla! In harmony with roasted nuts! Overall very balanced and round! No trace of alcoholic spiciness! Incredibly! Since quite excellent work was done! The only downer is the relatively short and unspectacular finish, too bad ... that costs the rum unfortunately a two points! Nevertheless, an excellent rum

The nose is extremely fruity (not at all alcoholic). We are far from the very expressive High ester, we are closer to the greedy nose of Foursquare. We have mango, pineapple and spices full of nostril. It is attractive. In the mouth it is rich and powerful on the spices. It is very woody (normal after 28 years of ageing) but we have a fruit salad that intensifies as the tasting goes on and greedy coconut in the final fireworks. It is clearly a great success, a real tasting rum that finishes in beauty a nice lineup.

Oh yes and another real bomb to finish. Great Long Pond. Here vanilla and caramel dominate above all. But wood and coconut are also clearly recognizable here. On the palate it is then still slightly woody and spicy. Strong.

Nose suffers a bit from the 27 years of aging. It feels slightly too woody and spicy. However, on the palate, it is much more well balanced, fruity and round with an impressive aromatic concentration. This rum is fire 🔥

A rum that positively surprises in every way! The high alcohol content is impressively well integrated both on the nose and palate. The tropical aging is excellently done – not too woody, but wonderfully fruity, just as you want from a top Long Pond. Thanks to saibotzar for this mega split!!!

The profile is clearly different from the Long Pond 1993 LPS. Much less fruity, less esters, but much more tropical wood influence. Blind I would probably have typed him in the direction of tropical Guyana such as the Eldorados.

#5504 25.07.2025 Enjoying a few samples after coming back from the local Food Festival. Nose Medium intense, fresh, wood, fruity, light orange, light caramel, spice, faint tannins. Palate Medium intense, wood, fruity, light apricot, light orange, faint tannins, light prunes, faint grass. Finish Long and warm, wood, light roasted, light banana, faint herbs, light leather, faint anise, light prunes. Empty glass Faint caramel, light chocolate, vanilla, prunes, light orange.

An aromatically dense rum with a classic Jamaican profile. Ester-forward, with notes of overripe bananas, pineapple, and fermented fruit. Behind this lie herbs, light medicinal hints, and a touch of vanilla. Full-bodied, powerful, and well-balanced on the palate with a dry finish. Not an easy sipper, but very characterful and rewarding.

Intense. Nose: Coconut, vanilla, mango, spicy, sweetish, toffee. On the palate similar, but more dark fruit. Alcohol well integrated. Nicely roasted. Long finish. Surprisingly round. Overall a very good rum.

Wow. What a board. Still a little closed on the nose, the rum is beautifully dark with lots of mango. The rum unfolds brilliantly on the palate. There is a lot to discover here. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. At last, another rum where I couldn't define everything (not that it would be right otherwise 😅) - I'm thrilled. Dark, warm and complex. Top.

Time. On nose soul of spirit are absolutely well integrated in body. Palate are fantastic. With small sips even on this ABV this rum are remarkable. Aftertaste is super long, mellow and touch of bakery spices. Very good experience and absolutely lovely Long Pond. And this release shows once again that Plantation could be on very very good level products. 👍

Given the watts, we know we're dealing with something else! During my first tasting, I didn't recognize the Long Pond touch, I found it rather closed and I thought it needed a long aeration. This time, I let it rest for over an hour before dipping my lips in it... And indeed, it does it good. The nose opens on a spicy side, and smells of bitter orange. On the palate, it's very powerful, still citrusy, drifting towards almond, the fatness I usually find in many Long Ponds less present at first, but then coating the palate. It's good, but I had to let it rest, and despite everything, it's still very alcoholic.
