Very intense nose that makes you want more. On the palate, it starts full-bodied, fully fruity, but then very quickly an overpowering sulfur comes into play, overshadowing all those great promises. The finish is clearly marked by sulfur. For me, it's way too sulfurous here. Something like this, I honestly couldn't have imagined. Thanks @Boletus, I had the bottle in my cart several times at the RRP...

A pure delight. So good that I decided to send my first tasting to RumX after years of reading others'. A charming nose, a fruity palate, an incredibly smooth length for the degrees displayed. Everything I expect from a rum: joy, strength, but also tenderness. There are only 122 bottles, so I'm lucky to have one. Magnificent!

The base material used for aging here is really nice and has everything that an Agricole not aged too long needs to please me. The vegetal notes of sugarcane and herbs are present, as well as delicious fruits and spices. Unfortunately, the aging barrel apparently came into contact with a sulfur candle at some point, which brings out a dirty side with aromas like rubber abrasion and gunpowder, somewhat spoiling the enjoyment for me. Luckily, the echo of tropical fruits arriving a bit late in the finish has a soothing effect on my palate and ensures a still pleasant overall impression. Those who don’t mind these sulfur notes will probably enjoy this rum more than I do.
