Presidente Marti 23 Años
Opinions land all over the map here: plenty call it a round, fruity everyday pour with caramel, raisin and marzipan, while others say the sugar takes over and it "en colle encore" — sticks to your mouth. One taster sums the split simply: "silky and stays long on tongue," but the sweetness is the whole story, for better or worse.
The community says- Round and smooth
- Caramel-raisin sweetness

How does Presidente Marti 23 Años taste?
Summarized by AI from community reviews.
Soft, very sweet Dom Rep everyday sipper Most find it soft, sweet and easy — molasses, vanilla, orange, a woody finish. The recurring gripe: too much sugar, so it leans dessert. Some love it anyway.

Round, sweet, raisins, molasses and a nice finish with a hint of marzipan. A must try for those that like the sweet ones.

Retasting and leaving the original note 😊 This is a rum that will surprise most people bacause it's in the cheaper end but delivers none the less. A wonderful fruity nose with molasses, honey and caramel topped off with oak. The palate is nkvmcely balance d though not complex it still manages to be well rounded with fruit, caramel followed by coffee, chocolate and a squeeze of marzipan. The finish is medium long and mild with oak and fruits.

7,2:On the nose, the Spanish style is evident: sweetness, caramel and vanilla, some leather. As the nose moves further into the glass, other aromas emerge, including citrus, vegetal notes and a little in the background, milk chocolate. There's perhaps a very timid hint of wood and smoke.... So, quite promising start. 7:On the palate, the attack is very soft; this sweetness, which even increases with each passing second, accompanies us throughout the tasting. Notes from nose linger on but sweetness pervades here, is intense and overpowers everything else. 7:The finish has palate sweetness that continuous on and stays on the tongue long after the rum has been swallowed. Slight notes of vanilla and orange and a discreet woodiness round out this rather gourmet profile... Edit:3.4.26

Oh man, I really like this rum. I don't know why it is rated so poorly, I find this rum very tasty. But what can you say, I do recommend buying it, this rum is okay.

Typical Dom Rep rum, very round, tasty and smooth. However, also sweet, too sweet.

Wonderful bouquet and complex taste, gets better the longer it sits in the glass.

One of my first rums that I dived into this world with. Neat it's pleasant to drink in summer. But was mainly bought as a mixer for Cuba Libre to sip easily on the terrace in the summer evenings.

Vanilla, apricot and orange, great sweetness. Aftertaste: long and meaty.

Very good and affordable everyday rum, also for beginners

First try of this rum. A little apprehensive on the very sweet nose, reminiscent of a candy. On the palate, the first note is very fruity, an almost pungent sensation on the tip of the tongue. Then the fruit becomes sweeter, candied. The finish is woody, with an almost tobacco aftertaste. All in all, a good rum.

Excellent, round and fruity, it is not aggressive from the first sip

Aged 23 great taste, not too sweet, smooth taste at the end.

For me a very easy-going rum that attracts both with its price and its taste. Sweet, spice, fruit, caramel, the finish is longer and overall pleasant. I would recommend it for relaxed sipping by the grill or for beginners to slightly advanced rum drinkers.

A huge amount of added sugar. This is no longer a rum but a liqueur. The mouth still feels sticky...

6.3.2025 Zverinova Nothing at all on the nose Gentle taste, a bit sharp after swallowing Nothing special 15.1.2026 Prague Zverinova Same as before

Balanced rum. Smells like the lower deck of an old wooden ship. Taste is leathery, woody and fruity. A bit less sugar would be better.

Mild sipper without edges and corners. I had hoped for more from 23 years. Pity.

Alcohol stronger than it seems, taste charming, variable and long-lasting. No special surprises, but it is good, very good.
