Green pepper, fresh sugarcane and floral notes lead — this Indonesian pot-still tastes like nothing on your usual shelf. There's turmeric-ginger spice, lychee and a bitter-sour papaya edge, with honey and lemon on the nose. Several tasters call it a proper oddity worth exploring, though a few find the body thin and a little watery at 45%. One to take slowly, not to pour by the tumbler.

Very different to the CDI Indonesia 10y. Intense & floral after red pepper, bitter-sour papaya, ginger, turmeric, rose & lemongrass. Some lychee, some pear, plus intense notes of mainly green but also some red bell pepper and chili. Turmeric ginger tea lingers in the finish along with a slight acidity. Take your time with this one and try it over 2 days. I'm very happy to have a bottle, now I just need the 10y old one again🤣

Here in the nose we have a very fruity rum, tropical and yellow fruits, as well as some lemon peel. Lemon and a bit of honey can also be detected. On the palate then mostly floral, grassy and fresh. Sugarcane can also be made out.

Sweet and fruity in the nose giving the sensation of marshmallows or bubblegum. Fruits and floral notes on the palate. Something like a sweet Obstler maybe… feels a bit thin and watered down unfortunately.

Another exotic, from Indonesia. Interesting nose. Slightly sweet yet somehow plant-like green. Geranium “scent” comes to mind, just not so harsh. Some green papaya gives sweetness, red bell pepper and artichoke the plant notes. Also a bit of vanilla and a slight woody note. Spicy-grassy on the palate. Definitely some licorice then comes this sweet-planty direction towards red pepper with chamomile and grass and some grassy sugarcane. Overall a bit thin and diluted. The finish is short to medium and leaves this green-grassy note with some licorice. Interesting, but nothing more.

A nice little rum from Indonesia! The chili is present throughout as well as a little pastry-like side that’s not unpleasant. It’s not an exceptional rum but I’m rather pleasantly surprised!

Something completely different. Very green and floral without Agricole. Nicely complex. I like it very much. Has a little bit of Trinidad vibe.
