Most tasters land around "nice but a bit odd." The nose is a mixed bag — coconut, raisin, nuts and light smoke, though one member caught a whiff of over-ripe coconut and grapefruit peel that settles with time. The palate is warmer: wood, caramel, toffee, hazelnut and coffee, dry rather than sweet, with real cask-strength heat. A single-cask Foursquare that rewards patience.

A tad better than the drinking strength, as was to be expected ;) Alcohol could be a little better integrated. Overall delicious after banana split, dark chocolate, bourbon and walnuts and some mint.

Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday sipping. It's a rum especially appreciated by rum lovers who are fed up with sugar and looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Simply pleasant and not aggressive flavors.

14.04.2018 A nice get-together with good friends and own bottles. Notes. Nose: Intense, wood, raisin, light smoke, coconut, nutty. Palate: warm, wood, light smoke, coconut, caramel, mint. Finish: medium to long, dried fruit, wood, nuts.

Foursquare Distillery 2007 Compagnie des Indes Distilled: 12.2007 Bottled: 07.2018 Aged 10 Years 62,1% Cask No. BF015 One of 267 Bottles Molasses Rum Color: Golden brown Aroma: Alcoholically sharp. Smells of rotten coconuts and grapefruit peel. Quite strange and different every time ... Has a strange odor component, but then gets better after standing for a while. Some fudge/ vanilla/ caramel. Taste: Sweet with caramel, at the same time sharp in the mouth. Extremely strong and also delicious when swallowed. Spicy with aromas of citrus fruits, toffee, hazelnut, coffee and liquorice.

Nice nose on nuts and the roasted notes of a gourmet breakfast. A fine, quite discreet caramel. On the palate you find a bit of vanilla and the roasted side, it’s round but not at all sweet. Tobacco also presents itself and nice pairings should be possible with creamy cigars. The finish on nuts is quite long.
