Ferroni Foursquare 2012
What catches people off guard here is how drinkable 63.4% can be — several tasters add a splash of water and say it only gets better. Underneath sits the familiar Foursquare picture: coconut, vanilla, butterscotch and young oak, with a bourbon-like grain edge. One reviewer notes the alcohol isn't fully tucked away, but the spice and creaminess win most over.
- Classic coconut notes
- Creamy and spicy
- Rewards a splash

How does Ferroni Foursquare 2012 taste?
Aggregated from 23 community reviews.
Intense cask-strength Foursquare, coconut and oak A classic Foursquare turned up loud by Ferroni — coconut, oak and spice, very intense. Most rate it highly; a few find the high-proof heat not perfectly integrated.

A very good Foursquare. On the nose, we find all the classic notes of this distillery, i.e. wood (but rather young), coconut, almond, etc... On the palate, on the other hand, we can appreciate Ferroni's finish a little more, with infinite creaminess, wood that's still present in shavings but not overpowering, superb smokiness and a gourmet waxiness. In my opinion, the bourbon and rasteau add a little tannin and body, which is really very good, even if the finish is a little less gourmand.

17.01.2022 Notes. Nose: wood, caramel, sweet, dried fruit, coconut. Palate: round, wood, spicy/warm, spice, coconut, raisin. Finish: medium long, light wood, roasted, light chocolate.

Fantastic value for money. Very drinkable, even at 63%. In fact, when I poured it into my decanter, I added 5 cl of water, which did nothing but improve it. Ferroni once again shows how possible it is to offer high quality rums at low prices. Very good.
