A lot happens in the mouth. I'm just not sure if it's all positive. Has a lot of sharpness in the finish which is strange for 45%. Few grassy notes that I usually expect from St James. Much better on retasting, but still some sharpness in the finish.

Even though this St. James was bottled with low ABV, it offers more complexity than expected. Some fruit, but more floral and Agricole notes. The finish is way too peppery and rough for me.

Franconian tasting gang on 10.05.2024 First a big thank you to DomM who provided this set. Personally, the profile didn't grab me. Except for one exception, this soap taste is too much for me. The leftovers in the glasses ended up thanks to DomM and Serge in a spontaneous and outstanding cocktail.

Tasting at Dr. Django This Saint James I like quite a bit. Although it also comes across light and soft, it has a very nice grape-like nose that immediately reminds one of a fruity heavy wine. On the palate it spreads pleasantly soft. It's a great sipper.

Super nice nose but on the palate comparatively boring and a bit flat. Overall still interesting enough though. At least no soapiness. But probably more of historical value. But I'm also an agricole philistine 😂

Mhh... The nose somehow restrained, but still quite pleasant. On the palate quite disappointing, thin, weak, somehow too little of everything. Finish also short and completely unspectacular. Overall only to be rated as "drinkable".
