The sweetwine cask runs the show — it turns sweet up front, then dries out and goes briefly astringent at the end. Most tasters find the 24 years clearly there and the 55.8% well tucked in, though a couple call the wine influence a touch much.

No idea, but this wood hits me more again. Very nicely woody as well as vanilla on the nose. On the palate it becomes rather spicy, wood/oak are clearly recognizable. Vanilla and mocha come in here as well.

This is a nicely balanced rum and I think the price tag is spot on. Sweet and fruity with nice roasted wood and I like the light coffee note you get. Draws really nice curtains in the glass. The barrel finish is also in there without being too dominant and the empty glass reveals a lot of nice flavours.

Well-aged Panama rum provides a suitable base for expressive and strong cask influences, which is confirmed here again. The sweet wine cask sets the tone and shapes the overall picture, but without completely masking the origin of the distillate. For me, a little too sweet and wine-heavy over time, but already quite tasty!

A very intense smell of wood, cocoa and caramel comes at you. On the palate, the sweet wine finish comes through lightly, which really fits well. Nice finish with a coffee note. A rum that is very strong and complex for a representative of the Spanish style. I like it.

Very good representative from Panama. The 24 years are noticeable but the rum still brings a nice fruitiness. Extremely balanced and strong, with the barrel dominating the aftertaste. This is really good stuff!

The combination with the sweet wine cask does the rum good - without the dried fruits it would be a rather one-dimensional profile. The Artesanos known to me share in my opinion a quite unique note, which I associate with milky notes and something mineral.

A very very tasty rum. The age is beautifully perceptible here. The influence of the cask perfectly balanced. Panama rum at the highest level. Actually only found at Mr. Lauingen. The nose is round, dark and inviting. On the palate a lot of cask influence. A sweet rum that becomes wonderfully dry again towards the end and is briefly astringent. For me the perfect palate flatterer and Artesano 20+ rums are the best you can get from Panama. Awesome stuff. Underrated!

The base product is a solid rum from Panama. In the finish, the wine barrel aging quickly and clearly comes through, which for me personally is a bit too much.

Definitely needs time to open up, gets better and better. The sweetness coming from the white wine cask rounds the rum off superbly. Fascinating what finishes can do.

Color: golden brown. Smell: At first sweet caramel. Then toffee, raisins, cocoa and wood. Also roasted aromas. Overall balanced and round. Taste: Full-bodied, sweet and heavy in the mouth. When swallowing spicy chocolatey. Lots of exotic spices - caraway, cardamom, clove and pepper. Also dried plums, woody and roasted aromas. Delicious! Finish: Medium length. Cocoa, woody, spicy and roasted. Bitter in the aftertaste. 82 points.

Very pleasant nose of dried fruits, red wine, slightly woody, slightly spicy. Taste: dried fruits, spicy, light vanilla, wine cask aromas, pleasant sweetness, full-bodied and warm. Finish tends to be long. Alcohol is well integrated. Really enjoyable!
