Review by Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰
02-09.04.2022 This was crazy week, where some friends and I rented a nice summerhouse on Rømø. The plan was to go nuts for a whole week with different rums without going overboard. The final agreement came to 6 rums a day and then enjoy nice walks or ferry rides during the day. Day 4 Notes Dark in colour. Nose Wood, tannins, light caramel, light cherry, faint mint, spice. Palate Wood, light tannins, medium dry, light spicy, light sugarcane, light nutts, dried fruit. Finish Long, wood, dried fruit, light sugarcane, medium spicy, dry.
Review by Émile Shevek
It is pitch black, one of the darkest rums ever. The nose is full-bodied and heady with fine wood, bright red fruits, tobacco, burnt sugar, sweet spices and a floral mix (fringipane and others). The palate is similarly full-bodied and sticky/slippery with hints of old wood, spices and flowers(fringipane and a faint earthy note), in the finish tobacco, dates and a very slight roastiness. Really delicious and balanced, it has both a sweet and dry side, a gem. It seems to have more degrees, but on the finish it is quite delicate. It is on the level of the Flibuste, but with different texture and nuances. In the empty roasted/seasoned glass
