Las Cabras Zafra Master Series Aged 30 Years 1985
Sip this neat after dinner and you get the classic soft Panama profile: vanilla, caramel, honey and a faint bourbon edge, with dried cherries and sultanas underneath. The oak stays surprisingly quiet for 30 years in cask. Several tasters love it as the best sweet Spanish-style rum they've had; a few wish it had more punch and find it leans sweet.

How does Las Cabras Zafra Master Series Aged 30 Years 1985 taste?
Aggregated from 45 community reviews.
Soft, sweet Panama sipper, honey and vanilla Loved as a smooth, honey-and-vanilla sweet sipper that drinks beautifully at 40%. The recurring catch: it's sweetened and some want more intensity, with a couple calling it too sweet.

The best sweet Spanish styled I’ve ever tasted and of course it is from Panama which seems to be my favorite country of origin when it comes to sweet Spanish rum. Hard to see that any other should beat it.

Another of the nice rums in the tasting today This is an even better version of the 21 year old. I think this one would merge well with a nice cigar in hand. Extremely well balanced and you can basically taste the age. The price tag for this bottle is very good compared to what you get.

The palate is extremely rich with flavors of dried cherries, sultanas, vanilla and a hint of nutmeg and banana. The finish is long and smooth with notes of baking spices.

Likely the most tasteful rum I've tried at 40% ABV. Starting Monday evening well, this rum has a fullness in the nose with hints of caramel tobacco and wood. In the notes I got vanilla, caramel and hints of bourbon. Minimal woody taste-notes, despite the high age

Great Panama rum, light sweet, dry fruits, oak, chocolate, toffee, vanilla. Everything is there.
Review by Piotr Ignasiak
Quite light and pleasant, alot of nuts and honey. I miss some intensity.
Review by Émile Shevek
Review by Pavel Spacek
Sweetened, but the infusion inside is mild.

Centenario 25 (solera) is from price/value point of view much better option for me. Very good but ovepriced.
Review by Justin Case
This made my boner hole feel so good drinking this. It is such an elegant and refined rum, and not heavy on the wood. Perfection personified. The most weenie-tastic rum of this generation.
Review by Oliver
Very round and light. Just the right thing when it should be something relaxed.
