20.02.2024 Enjoying some samples at home while relaxing. Colour Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Wood, faint smoke, faint peat, faint chocolate, light caramel, dried fruit, light orange. Palate Lightly dry, wood, light roasted, light herbal, minerals, light caramel, light pineapple, light orange, faint rubber. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, faint rubber, faint banana, light herbal, faint anise.

A not very memorable Chairman’s Reserve. Possibly because the pot stills are not in play here. Even though the Coffey still can make tasty and memorable rums, this one is not. It is quite straightforward on notes from aging. It has a nice thickness to it for the ABV that it comes with.
