Sipped neat, it opens with a big, likeable nose — vanilla, toffee, cocoa, orange peel and Christmas-cake spice, with a whiff of Jamaican ester funk from a New Yarmouth finish. The palate follows through with honey and peppery spice, but at 44% it thins out fast. One taster wished for a few more points of alcohol to carry it.

Extremely pleasing profile. On the nose dominate vanilla, toffee, cocoa, pastries and orange notes. On the palate this blend is complemented by some honey and peppery spiciness. Overall the flavor profile stays close to the promise from the nose - unfortunately the dilution results in a clearly noticeable watery character. Nice entry-level rum.

Gigantic nose of New Yarmouth, Jamaica funk and rum-soaked Christmas stollen. Taste-wise also ester funk, honey, banana, pear and some ginger and red pepper. Slightly reminds of gingerbread cookies. Raisin, marzipan, vanilla pudding, dried fig, lemon zest and honey and young wood join in the finish. Overall really tasty & exciting but also a bit thin. 4-6% more alcohol would make it much more exciting. But very harmonious, although the New Yarmouth finish dominates the rum quite a bit! Without it, it would probably be too boring for me. But not a must-have rum!
