Père Labat Clos Parcellaire Les Mangles 2021
Not your bright, grassy agricole blanc. This Marie-Galante white leans earthy and meaty — tasters find damp soil, brine, olive, even a faint smoke over the sugarcane and citrus. One member calls it "distinctive earthy/pungent," and several were surprised how different it drinks from its sisters. Oily body, long warm finish, and 53% that carries real weight.
The community says- Earthy, briny depth
- Oily long finish
- But: Unusual, savory profile

How does Père Labat Clos Parcellaire Les Mangles 2021 taste?
Aggregated from 25 community reviews.
Earthy, briny agricole white with a smoky twist Loved by agricole fans for its unusual earthy, briny, almost smoky character. Not the clean fresh cane most expect — that strangeness is exactly what people rate it for.

#4706 21.04.2024 Relaxing a little bit today. Nose Intense, fresh, sugarcane, fruits, citrus, light vegetal, faint smoke. Palate Intense, warm, oily, sugarcane, light metallic, faint smoke, fruits, citrus, spicy, light olive, light salt. Finish Long and warm, oily, citrus, light vegetal, light olive, faint licorice. Draws nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some mint, grass and grapes. Price to quality is very good in my mind.

Notes taken at Rhum Fest 2024, An incredible smell comes out of the bottle, Ripe fruit, cane, a hint of brine and olive? Long and well-balanced, with an almost woody touch. In the background, truffles and damp earth. A little slap in the face!

Nase: Sehr frisch. Total vergoren früchte. Wahnsinnig intensive Nase. Medizinisch. Sehr grausiger Geschmack. Auch hier sehr medizinisch. Toller weißer Rum mit langem Nachklang. Sehr schön. Zum resetten.

Thank you David (Rumstylez) for making me discover this white via a sample. I had trouble with the whites of this distillery, but I was conquered by this vintage! A white to Ti-Punch but especially to taste pure to spend a pleasant moment!

Rather meaty, dirty Agricole. Grassiness is there on the nose, but rather damp, earthy on the palate. Not the typical freshness I would expect with my my limited exposure to unaged agricoles. But makes a great Ti‘Punch!

Tasted at RhumFest, so tasting incomplete...Cane mixed with peppery notes, gourmet finish.

Really good agricole with distinctive earthy/pungent qualities and an enjoyable evolution
