Fresh mint and black tea lead the way, backed by plum, black tea and a firm oaky grip — one taster likens the herbal side to a TDL agricole. Aged 14 years at cask strength, it opens up the longer you sit with it: lime, peach, cardamom, cassis, banana. Complex and a bit demanding rather than easy sipping, but very well liked here.

02-09.04.2022 This was crazy week, where some friends and I rented a nice summerhouse on Rømø. The plan was to go nuts for a whole week with different rums without going overboard. The final agreement came to 6 rums a day and then enjoy nice walks or ferry rides during the day. Day 6 Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, plum, berries, light chocolate, faint roasted, faint nutts. Palate Oily, balanced, light wood, light salt, plum, berries, light caramel, faint chocolate, faint nougat. Finish Medium to long, round, oily, light cherry, light banana, faint olive, light salt, faint nougat.

Bielle 2001 Nr. 10 Das ist dieses mal eine vanz neueSeite dieser Serie..neben den üblichen Holz-und Gewürzaromen ist eine kräftige frische Seite vorhanden…fast schon wie ein TDL mit viel Minze. Dazu gesellen sich Zuckerrohr und Schwarztee.. sehr komplex das Ganze, wieder eine Top-Abfüllung

Handy spinnt grade, man man. Finde diesem fehlen ein wenig die %te, ansonsten auch echt top und auch etwas anders. Erstmal haben wir hier Sahnetoffe in der Nase, am Gaumen neben Holz und Würze auch Tabak und Schwarztee.

Rhum Bielle LMDW 2001 X-Tasting: A unique set that Daniel dug up here. Over time this rum becomes more and more complex, the aromas more intense. You can feel like sitting forever with the glass and discovering new aromas! Except on the nose you hardly taste any sweetness which is not negative. The mint reminds a bit of a TDL. Alcohol really perfectly integrated!

Epic BIELLE 2001 tasting. A great vintage, the set was consistently of high quality. Only RX5741 and RX4918 were a bit too woody/bitter for me. There was also a clear winner, the cask selected by Kirsch was for me the most intense, harmonious. Here was a perfect mix of wood, fruit and spices. The blend is also great, but at 45% it suffers a bit weakly on the palate. Overall I think the highest quality set I have tasted and I believe you will never get it again like this.

"Großes Bielle 2001 Cross-Tasting": Alter Falter was für ein Biest. An der Nase noch verhältnismäßig "brav" und eher süß und schüchtern wirkend. Am Gaumen dann eine wahre Aromenexplosion aus Limettenschale und Saft, Pfirsich Kardamom Eistee mit viel frischer Minze, Banane und schwarze Johannisbeere / Cassis, allerdings auch intensive Tannine vom Holz und leichte Cognac Noten. Krasses Gerät, wenn auch eher fordernd und nicht so ganz easy sipping!😄💯🇬🇵 aber diese Kardamom Pfirsich Minz Tee Note sticht schon wirklich positiv heraus und bleibt im Gedächtnis!
