A very nice demerara from Samaroli. I would have loved a higher ABV though because I think it would have benefitted the release. The nose is lightly woody with vanilla, pineapple, caramel as well as a hint of mint and herbs. The palate is lightly dry and medicinal with dried fruit, spices, nuts, licorice as well as a hint of flowers and mint. The finish is medium to long and lightly dry with wood, spices and dried fruit. Price to quality is pretty good.

This rum reminds me of a summer I spent working with my father, cutting plasterboard. You get plaster and dust in your nose. These elements return, but with a more herbaceous/medicinal side and very light solvents. I like the singular aspect
