Vanilla, sugarcane and a little glue-like Jamaican funk on a light, buttery white rum blending Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad. Most people keep it for the bar: it builds a genuinely great daiquiri and holds up in cola, mojito and mule. Neat it's soft but a bit boozy and short, and there's a clear sweetness some read as added sugar. Easy, versatile, cheap.

In principle, the nice brother of Veritas. Quite mild on the nose, lots of green tones, lime, a touch of ester and otherwise fruity white.Comparatively sweet on the palate, but again clearly greener, slightly mineral and more intense in the earthy fruit notes, some tingling citrus notes there. Very casual Daiquiri Basic for all those Veritas, Tricorne, etc. are too special. Unbeatable in price.

A great mix rum for all cocktails or just with cola. The price-performance ratio here is damn good. Should definitely be planned for every party. Personally, I use this rum for almost all cocktails. Perfect to not overwhelm anyone but with enough flavor power to perfectly enhance everything. Everyone has been impressed by this rum so far.

Overall a quite bland rum that can’t compete with the best white ones tasted at a restaurant after having a typical Swedish Christmas buffet. It’s a blend of rum from Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad with 10gpl added sugar.

05.09.2025 Retasting and I still find it pretty good. ------------- I rarely drink white rums but this one is a good white that you can actually sip and enjoy. As with other white rums this one has to rest at least 15 minutes! A nice complex rum with depth and does very well for a 3 year old. Price to quality is very good.

7,4:On the nose, light vanilla, oak, sweetness, a hint of funk in the aroma, smoky and spicy. While the aroma sounds nice on paper, it’s very, very light overall with most of the finer notes beaten down by the a boozy profile. Full, slick body. 7,6:On the palate, the attack is much sweeter than the aroma would lead you to believe but that heavy booze profile definitely exists, as well. The vanilla and slight Jamaican funk comes through here, too, smoky, spicy. 7:The finish is long on heat and quite sweet without flavor. It’s not really a good sipper, which is fine since that isn’t the point of this rum. But sipping it definitely dives that point home..

The nose is vanilla forward. Quite a lot of esters and a subtle citrus and white chocolate note. The palate has the vanilla from the nose but it's more mineral and less fruity. Some exotic woods. The finish is quite short. Vanilla and toasted coconut mainly. Overall its a decent white rum. I'm not too much of a fan of this mixed but it's very reasonably priced and not bad neat.

Best price-performance rum for Daiquiri or other cocktails (Pink Lake, pink&stormy, Bloody sunrise, …). It goes worse than Veritas, but the Veritas also costs twice as much. So clearly a mixing recommendation.

On the 👃 you can distinguish the vanilla with a bit of woody notes, freshness represented by notes of citruses, 🍌, alcoholic odour is also very prominent which had me worried a little but that went away when I tasted the rum. On the 👅 you get immediate sweetness of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, coconut, cream brulee, sweet biscuits that you get with your coffee and just a small bit of alcoholic taste with bittery finish full of orange peel aroma. Tastes better than smells. Very good one and great in mixers especially in Daiquiri.

I always have this in my bar for cocktails, tiki (together with the Planteray O.F.T.D.) and also like a light daiquiri sometimes. Not really for pure enjoyment, but that's not the aim of this blend. It's a mixer, and it does that quite well.

Pretty good for a fairly inexpensive white rum. Naturally intended for mixing, although sugar has also been added, which doesn't really make sense. It's not a fruity ester bomb, but it can be used well in drinks without completely dominating them.

Un rhum très léger, fait pour la mixologie. Il remplace un rhum cubain en apportant un peu plus de complexité dans un daiquiri ou d'autres créations. Je lui préfère des rhums plus puissants comme le Veritas de Velier comme rhum à cocktails.

Suitable for mixing, very mediocre. In my opinion, it's not good for drinking neat, but that's probably not the purpose. Very thin in taste, slight bitter note. I would always prefer the Veritas.

Solid light cocktail rum. Mix of jamaican bajan and trinidad rums of low age so clearly in the english style. The price is good and so it gets heavy rotation but there’s something not right in the flavor that keeps it from being a great white rum. That something is the glueyness that is characteristic of unaged or barely aged jamaican rums. Although they can grow up to be some of the greatest in the world the jamaican low age expressions really can have this thing where they seem to want to unfold a classic rum-raisin expression only to harshly cut out in the middle of that and give nothing but an implosion of gluey alcohol instead.

A good white rum that you can definitely drink neat, but also works well as a mixing rum. On the nose, there's a hint of funk, some vanilla, and oxidized mint. On the palate, a distinct sweetness paired with vanilla creates a pleasant mouthfeel. This is accompanied by a light smokiness. The finish is short with a slight menthol note.

I'm really positively surprised that you can get such a good mixer for little money. It's not so bad neat either. In a Pina Colada it really works well, subtle sweetness and gives a pleasant taste without being too intrusive.

pleasant white fruity rum, cheap and good mixer. A bit buttery soft in the mouth, tropical fruits and sugarcane also present. Unfortunately a bit alcoholic in the background as well. Usable and good as a mixer since it's cheap and better than many cheap white rums like Bacardi for example. But it doesn't come close to Veritas.

First time trying an unaged rum neat - I don’t hate it but I’m not in love with it It’s weird I can’t really pick out any particular notes on the nose at all - pretty much the same with the taste itself although what I’ve found that’s quite funny This rum isn’t aged at all so hasn’t seen Maison Ferrands cognac casks however this almost damn near reminds me of Bushmills 15YO Cognac Cask finish - it’s a VERY similar flavour profile to me So they’ve blended 3 rums from 3 countries then watered it down to 41.2% ABV (again a weird ABV!) just to have something that tastes like cognac Conflicted/confused is my opinion of this rum - doesn’t know what it wants to be. Can’t mark it too harshly but for sipping it’s a no from me. Drinkable yes but not my first pick

Great rum for mixing. Excellent in Cuba Libre. Almost as good as the Veritas, for half the price. Occasionally you can get it for 12€. You should grab it then.

The best white rum I've had so far. Vanilla, fruit, a light pleasant sweetness, very smooth but definitely with a bit of alcoholic bite and some fruit brandy vibes on the finish, in the best way. Stands out well even in ginger beer, brings in fruit, best light mule with white rum so far. Drinks: - Neat: 4/5 - Rum Cola: 3/5 - Rum Punch: 4/5 - Rum Mule: 4/5 - Mojito: 5/5 - Daiquiri: 5/5

Esters. Plantains. Vanilla baking sugar. Mineral sweet notes with a touch of grass. Too sweet and that vanilla note gets tiring. Dominates drinks while hiding any sense of clean rum flavors.

Its huge disadvantage is the sugar added. Works pretty well in cocktails where alcohol should be covered by other flavours. There is a vast variety of better white rums like Doorlys or Clairins. Im not a big fan of their rum and their brand itself.

Good enough and easy-going. As all too many rums, better on the nose than on the tongue. An interesting bit of fruity funk on the aroma but it sadly loses that to the vanilla and sweet caramel when tasted. It's not too sweet though, it is balanced enough. Probably in no small thanks to its dosage (8-11 g/L?) it's easily sessionable. So a mixer that certainly can make do well as a sipper as well, for my part, but probably thanks to the dosage as stated. Drink what you like and like what you drink.

This is by far the best rum I've tasted. I've tried this in cocktails and I can still taste the rum over the juices. Super smooth in cocktails. I tried it neat and it punched me, I guess I'm not yet used to tasting neat.

You could taste the touch of added sugar but overall it actually feels dry and a bit mineral, therefore it’s balanced imo. Has a little touch of funk and fruitiness. Very versatile and price/performance is top. 18,50€ for 1L in Germany ^^

Definitely a cocktail rum. Pleasant in classic daiquiri, many uses among various cocktails however does not stand out quite enough to be great. Not a usual choice for sipping however I believe some might find it, while not very complex, quite pleasant.

Great for mixing, very light funk, fruity and a pleasant sweetness. With 40% alcohol on the lower end, so it can't stand out in all cocktails. But all in all a top price/performance ratio.

Very pleasant white rum, delicacy of Trinidad and esteriness of Barbados and Jamaica funk make it great even for sipping solo. I tested it in daiquiri and monitor, it penetrates great and does not disappear.
