I have both this one and the Tomatin version and this one scores a bit more. Woody and fruity with vanilla from nose to finish. The palate and finish is sweet and medium long. I think this is a rum even beginners would appreciate and far cheaper than the Tomatin version.

On the nose molasses and caramel, on the palate it is full-bodied, delicate and flavorful with notes of wood, chocolate, red fruits and malt on the finish.

Slightly thin on the finish. But otherwise one of the better Spaniards I've had. Very good profile. Whisky cannot be tasted directly, but gives the rum a good depth of flavor. Great PLV. Goes wonderfully with a cigar.
