Guyana wooden-still fans are the audience here, and this Enmore REV wins a lot of them over. Give it 30-45 minutes and you get dark chocolate, dried plum, black tea, leather and roasted coffee, oily on the tongue. Several tasters call it their favorite '94 REV. One member simply wrote "Wow, best I have ever tasted." One dissenter found it a touch dark and one-note for his palate.

My REV reference! 🤓 Exciting lavender notes on the nose. The typical dried plum note is rather subtle. Great roastiness leaning towards coffee. On the palate, it's intense and creamy. Dry with just the right amount of bitterness. If you like black tea, you'll love this profile. The finish brings memories of Guinness. Because of the more restrained plum (compared to other REV bottlings), this bottling totally hits my taste! No wonder the RumX community crowned this rum as "Best Rum 2022."

The nose is absolutely amazing. Especially that lavender note totally blows me away. The iodine/band-aid note from other Enmores is practically non-existent here, instead it's beautifully intense and elegant with leather, plum jam, lavender, and dark chocolate. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. Lavender is there briefly, then unfortunately fades quickly, giving way to the more dominant notes of leather, bitter walnut, dark chocolate, and dried plum seasoned with a bit of allspice, mint, and nutmeg. Very harmoniously delicious, almost dangerously easy to drink, which is really rare for such old Enmores. The lavender note & the higher alcohol content just barely give it the edge over the Bellamys Enmore REV for me, but let's see what other Enmores come in the future!😏😜👌

One of my favorites of the 94 REVs! Today once again in the glass and I am completely thrilled! A wonderful blend of plum, wood and caramel. Long finish with fruity notes without bitterness.

A REVolution even among the REVs. After the first onslaught of some glue and a lot of dark chocolate has evaporated, the plum shows up, which also remains present in the taste. The herbs that had the last RA REV go here rather into the floral what I personally find very pleasant. In the taste comes to the dark chocolate and plum still strong mocha. Consistency oily to slightly creamy. Extremely long lasting finish.

Very delicious harmonius rum. A lot of atypical Enmore notes like lavender. The barrel is here not so dominant as in other enmores. Also you won‘t find the typical licorice/minty notes. The alcohol is intergrated just perfect. Very lovely enmore 🤤 Personal comment: RA 2020 = V&M 2021 > RC 2022 = Bellamy‘s > RA 2021 > SBS > Samaroli 2021

beautiful rev 😊 Definitely in the top 5 REV! The plum typical of REV is of course not missing, complemented by warm wood... some caramel and coffee. All REVs tend to be bitter... But this one is well balanced.

Exquisite. Some time to breathe is strictly recommended to unlock the true splendor of this bottling. After about 45 minutes, the typical plum and wood notes of the REV-Marques enchant the pampered palate in intimate harmony with leather and fresh green notes. A very successful release and already a highlight for me in 2022. Even in direct comparison with other representatives of the 1994 vintage, it is an extremely convincing overall package – perhaps even the most drinkable representative. Absolute top level.

Nose: Thick, dark and komplex. Plums, figs and chai tea with milk. Komplex and intensive on the palate with plum, rhubarb, ample spices and some floral notes. Really nice cask and bottling right here. Compared to other ‘94 REVs, the nose is way more open and comparably more sweet. More focus on fruity notes vs. dark spices and herbs. On the palate the higher ABV das help to get just this little edge on complexity making this cask the best I tasted so far.

Oh dear, what a wonderful rum Intense, well balanced and I really like the smoky/wood profile. The palate is oily and overall a wonderful mix of flavours. The empty glass emits a nice bouquet of flavours after an hour and even the day after you can still pick up all the main components.

Nose: Plum, coffee, dark chocolate, herbs and black tea, slightly sweetish. Palate: Beautifully oily, plum, black tea. Very tasty. In direct comparison with the SBS (RX9537), more fruit (plum) and more intense overall. But less sweet. Minimally better.

A titanic rum that deserves its place in the pantheon of the best rums. The nose is extremely fragrant: floral notes, lavender, aromatic herbs (thyme) and black tea fill the nostrils with a lovely freshness that counterbalances the warm, dark side of spices (licorice, cinnamon, vanilla, sweet pepper), fine woodiness and highly concentrated empyreumatic notes (toast, roasted and smoky notes). Dried fruit (apricot, grape and prune) mingles with plum, Demerara sugar, caramel and toffee to add a generous layer of indulgence. An absolutely divine nose for an unforgettable experience. The infinitely smooth attack on the palate hides a myriad of flavors to decipher: well-melted oak joins the bitterness of coffee, leather and dark chocolate, shimmering spices (licorice, anise, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet chili) and dark, smoky notes for an incredible aromatic spectacle. The aromatic spectrum extends to flowers, tobacco, aromatic herbs and black tea, as well as plums and dried fruit (grapes and prunes). The rum, oily, a little creamy and remarkably deep, is a veritable love potion. The infinite finish offers nothing new, but manages to retain all the flavors in the mouth, so as to maintain this structure and homogeneity throughout the tasting. Warmth, bitterness and sweetness all come together in a highly successful fusion. All that's left to do is bow down before one of Guyana's most accomplished rums to date.

Beautiful Enmore REV. The first nose brings a lot of wood, toasted notes, barrel and nuts. After a standing time, fruit notes of plum and raisin are added. Taste very spicy, light vegetal notes and roasted and bitter notes. Long finish with wood and leather.

Oh wow! What a beautiful, intense, complex nose: deeply spicy and fruity. Dried blood orange, cherry and a subtle floral violet note. A pleasant acidity of molasses syrup alongside a fine vinegar. Plus old wood with nice toasted and smoky flavors. Sweetness of maple syrup and candied orange peel and a bit of caramel with vanilla come in. I love it ❤️.Strong and intense on the palate as well. Nice and dark, malty, toasty, woody. Bitterness gradually fades into dried blood orange and mocha. Heavily roasted hazelnuts add a tart note accompanied by some caraway and lovage. Acidity from molasses and sweetness from violet licorice.Violet licorice for me also dominant in the finish.We have here a wonderful, round yet powerful REV. Super rum 🥰!!!

Wow wow wow, another excellent 1994 REV. I think this must really be an exceptional vintage, I can't really remember ever having had a really bad one in my glass. For me from memory, however, the 27-year-old from TheRumCask is a tick further ahead, although this one is only wafer-thin.

This rum from Guyana has a very round nose that forms a beautiful harmony of vanilla, caramel, burnt sugar, chocolate, dried red fruits, plenty of wood and some tart/dark notes such as leather and roasted coffee. There is also something floral that reminds me of tea and that can be found from time to time in rums from Wooden Stills. Primarily dark in the mouth with a little fruit and dry, but the alcohol is very well integrated and you still experience a round and creamy mouthfeel. The finish is again more tea and a strong barrel influence (presumably bourbon) with delicious honey. Finally, a word about the price, quite expensive for 500ml.

Lots of wood here too, prune and dried fruit, but also fruit and a delicious pastry side. A splendid palate, totally balanced, deep and broad. With a fresh, almost mentholated side that we sensed on the nose. Tannins too. The finish is loooong, with a balance of tannins, fruit and freshness. A rum at its best!

Everything is just right with this storm of complexity! The wonderfully fruity and intense nose offers plum and a variety of other dried fruits. Then it becomes dark, woody and chocolaty. Barrel notes, black tea and roasted aromas are replaced by coffee and red fruits. On the palate, the intensity is fierce, but harmonious and multi-layered. From floral, spicy and nutty to dark berries, it leads into black tea and dark chocolate. Then sweet espresso, caramel, plum and leather. All of this is perfectly complemented by herbs and mature wood. The tannins, which are reminiscent of lavender, are not as floral here as on the nose, which perhaps benefits the creamy oiliness. The extremely long and intense finish picks up many aromas from the palate and also allows tobacco and liquorice to emerge. The leather and roasted aromas resonate in the background. A pleasure... A wonderfully complex nose with fruit and heavy dark aromas! On the palate initially fruit (dried plum), which then gives way to barrel, leather, spice, and black tea! The finish is medium-length on the dark side... A REV to fall in love with.

Exciting lavender popcorn notes on the nose, alongside the expected toasty wood and barrel notes with some dark chocolate. Goes a little in the direction of dirty TDL Beautifully oily in the mouth, sits very nicely on the tongue. The herbal notes remind me of a camomile grappa I had recently. Compared to the 2006 REV from the Rum Club, this is much more complex and I like it better.

Tough one for me… While I can recognize why this rum is no mj reknowned and revered it may just not be the kind of profile that speaks to me. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy and appreciate Guyanese rum but overall they are not my fave. JuJu On the nose and palate, this is a dark, dry rum. Despite the fact that there is a subtle complexity present here, the prominent notes here are oak and leather, with some burnt sugar and hint of dark fruits. Worth noting that this one is very smooth after all that time spent ageing - much softer than many other rums at similar proof. I understand why this is so highly rated by many and I think it is deserved. For my palate, this one just isn’t my preference and frankly lacks some balance, vibrancy and variation. I find it a tad boring, unpopular as that may be but I look forward to trying again to see if I appreciate it more on a second go round.

The 10 GRF release of the 94 RA REV appears in the other glass. It's amazing how big the differences are. The Rumclub is clearly fruitier, with a pronounced plum note, as well as chocolate and leather. The RA, on the other hand, is much more herbaceous and spicy. I also like the Rumclub a little better on the palate because it is rounder. Both are top representatives of their marque, but the Rumclub is clearly ahead.

What a piece, really a Guyana to my taste. Nose is dark, tea & tobacco, dried fruits. Super mild on the palate, dried fruits, crazy complexity. Long finish with tea and tobacco! Very awesome piece!

Wood, leather, little bit of smoke and tiny sweet. Good rum, I expected more. Biggest disappointment follows big expectations... Enmore - a driving distillery, now only a functional distillation device. Probably the only wooden distillation equipment in the world that enjoys great popularity. Enmore rums have the flavor of ash, leather, heavy wood, which especially excites lovers of smoky whiskies. And if the producer adds a little molasses to the rum in the traditional Guyanese way, you have a unique, very distinctive and heavy rum in the bottle. One of my favorites.

Another gem after the Greenheart. The nose is perhaps woodier and less fresh, a bit less complex. But the palate is fantastic. In the Versailles 94 category, it's just excellent.

Tasted against SBS 2006 (RX11234) and SBS 1994 (RX9537). This one is wonderfully balanced, it has everything: wood, black tea, dried plum, it's still slightly sweet and not bitter at all. It ranked second, I prefered the SBS 1994 because it was more powerful in flavor desire it's lower ABV, and ma bit more extreme. This one here however, I would definitely love to have a bottle, on the long term I'm sure this is the one that I wouldn't get tired of ever. On the palate, it has lots of character but all aromas are balanced, everything works well together. The finale is on the wood, black tea and dried fruits but there is still sweetness to my surprise.

It took me a long time to warm up to the REV profile, but this bottling is a great example of the quality of this style. Not too much plum (which I don't really like), but spices, wood, caramel, pencil and a great sweetness, all wonderfully balanced and intense, with a long finish. A top representative of the 94 bottlings.

Noble, excellent, exquisite. What a great rum! Light plum, black tea and dark fruit in chocolate on the nose. On the tongue and palate, a firework display of roasted prunes with dark chocolate and a little bit of candy bar, plus a little bitter black tea and great wood notes! The finish is long, intense and you can linger for a long time - a great bottling!
