Don't expect the usual Long Pond ester bomb here — 30 years in bourbon casks has tamed the funk right down. What's left is elegant and rounded: dried fruit and prunes, oak, dark chocolate, vanilla and coffee, with just a whisper of overripe banana and solvent underneath. One taster called it "un gentleman," not a young storm. The 50% is fully melted in.

8,6:On the nose, toasted oak with chocolate, roasted nuts, caramel, burnt, meaty, spicy with allspice, medicinal with solvents, citrus and yellow fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration prunes and banana, green apple, some overripe, arise, vanilla, buttery, leather, molasses is musty. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is slightly medicinal with varnish, sweet with roasted wood notes like burnt sugar, caramelized, coffee, dark chocolate, leather, slightly burnt, spicy witj anise hints, green pepper, vanilla, fruity with dried fruits like prunes, tropical with banana, pineapple and guava hints, mango, as molasses brings musty, herbaceous notes, honey. 8,4:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, medicinal, with toasted oak notes like dark chocolate, nuts, coffee, leather, slightly burnt, warm with spicy green pepper, vanilla, fruity with tropical, dried fruits, molasses is musty, grassy, herbaceous, floral, a bit mineral, bourbon barrel impact is obvious. Vanilla and ripe tropical fruits, oak barrel well present, spices and a very pleasant buttery, lactic side. On the first sip, overripe banana and a spicy/peppery side. The wood (oak barrel) is more present than on the nose, also with a toasted side. The finish is rather long with fruits and a buttery side. The wood and banana come later. A nice rum from Corman Collins where the bourbon influence is well marked.

Another really nice Corman Collins. Medium intense profile with light fruit and nice wood. Nice ABV integration and a warm silky touch to the palate. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some chocolate and coffee.

Very cool color. The 30 years really show. First impression on the nose is rather refined and reserved, yet incredibly round and deliciously inviting. Dried fruits and a sweet undertone present. On the palate, then clearly spice and cask coming through. Also very round here and very drinkable due to the comparatively low ABV. Long strong finish with cask influence. Nothing hyper-complex, but very harmonious and simply easy to drink thanks to the aging. Not a youthful sprinter but a gentleman.

Big surprise, it's atypical, far from the solvents and tropical fruit salad of Long Pond. It's more reserved, with apple, lemon and chocolate. The nose is very woody-spicy but very elegant, with a touch of honey. The whole is very pleasant and goes against the grain of what Jamaica is today. On the palate, it's in the same vein as the nose, with apple-pear combined with spices. It's very light and balanced, with a gentle woodiness. The 50% is perfectly blended. The coffee finish fades pleasantly.

Now this is filled with long pond DNA. immediately you got the butter notes along vanilla wood and tropical fruit. On the palate the fruit becomes more banana and there is the char giving some character. Sweet notes of bourbon cask finish this enjoyable ride
