An absolute favorite rum! From the taste profile it reminds very much of the El Dorado 15 Years. Only denser, more complex. Unfortunately, also a lot of sugar, that's the flaw.Distilled on the Port Mourant column, 15 years equatorial glow and 2 years in a cognac barrel. The perfect rum for a cold winter evening! Still it is cold outside...

A pleasant sweetness full and bold taste, which is characterized by cinnamon, cloves and Christmas notes 🎅🏻 - Taste of plums and raisins. The aftertaste is very long - A pleasant glass of rum.

A new bottle at the time of tasting, at my favorite metal-bar in Copenhagen. A deep scent of vanilla and sweetness, and hints of wood. Notes of raisins, cinnamon, molasses, spicyness and a sweet, woody aftertaste

Basically nice profile - the nose is still dominated by the classic Demerara notes. Unfortunately, everything is somewhat marred on the palate by the subsequent sweetening (suspected from the flavor profile), as the sugary notes become too dominant.

08.03.2024 Tasting with Romhatten. Retasting and I stick to my score. ---------------- 17.11.2023 Retasting this and stick to my initial score. Incredibly well balanced and velvety. ---------- Had a great Plantation tasting experience yesterday and here is the fifth of the six we had a go at. This was a nice surprise because the usual hardness in the taste from Guyana is actually missing here. A very nicely balanced rum that is kind of soft. This rum has been created from molasses that has undergone extra long fermentation and maybe that's what makes it almost perfect. A hard bottle to get your hands on so if you get a chance, give it a sip.

Not bad. I think a sweet wine cask of some sorts and a bit of added sugar have a role in this one. Overall not bad and quite enjoyable. I‘m very much not sure which distill this hails from tbh. I would expect a column/savalle rum rather than pot still m, but this may be distorted by the (assumed) „measures“.
