Toucan 2015 – 48% First aged rum of the range, distilled in a Creole column from red cane in Guyana, but surprisingly aged in the Gers in bas-armagnac casks. Well, for a first try, it’s not a clear success… Maybe the aging in bas-armagnac doesn’t marry well with this Guyanese style, or the rum is still too young. Result: way too spicy for my taste. Off to the spit bucket.
