A floral nose. Reminds me of stepping into a Lush shop. One with a cafe too, hints of coffee beans and bitter orange. Less floral on the palate. On the sweet side. Classic vanilla and oak notes, dark treacle. With sour fruit peel and orange juice. The finish is medium in length. A prickle of heat. Some oak but the sweetness maintains with a nice honey note. Overall, a nice rum better than expected. Nothing too different or interesting but easy to drink. Kinda reminds me of stuff from Darsa but just not quite as good.

A very good sipping Rum
Review by Richard Colwell
The nose is sweet, slightly woody and medicinal. The palate is relatively simple, indexing on sweet syrupy-ness with moderate oak and baking spices. The finish is quite short, simple, and sweet. Not incredibly complex, but decently pleasant.

On The Rocks: On the nose it initially smells like nail polish but it gives way to a mild/moderate fruit, spice and woody blend more like you would expect from a rum. Taste reveals a stronger sweetness with spice and wood notes with some underlying fruit. There is an alcohol presence that is noticeable. Finish is medium with the sweetness giving way to a slightly bitter treacle taste that lingers. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose Pepsi Zero. Taste is very sweet with hints of dusty old warehouse. Finish is short with the sweetness going a little bitter. There is a delayed warmth in the chest in the finish.

Yes, it's all right so far. The nose and palate are dominated by burnt sugar. It also comes across as very spicy. You can also detect notes of vanilla and caramel. There are worse things.

It's fine. The orangey smells are nice but there's not much else going on.

This bottle was a housewarming gift from my nephew. I have a hard time enjoying this neat. It's a sweet style of rum of which I'm not a big fan. It has a pretty dominant sweet almond/frangipane note on the palate. Mixing it with pineapple juice is OK though.

Interesting to drink a rum from the Philippines. But the origin aside, I have to say that I was not impressed with this rum. Lots of burnt sugar on the palate, almost considered using it as a mixer.. Looking at the price tag, I would recommend buying something else.
Review by DruNierer
Some lingering harshness when drinking neat, much better over ice. Burnt sugar is the dominant smell and taste with some citrus component on the nose. Sweetness increases the longer it’s in the glass.
