"Better than expected" is the phrase that keeps coming up — a Jamaica/Guyana/Trinidad blend where the nose (molasses, dried fruit, old wood, a little funk) tends to beat the palate. Went to visit my old colleague and he had a few rums. This one is light and I'd even say flat in the profile. Fruit and vanilla is there and there's a touch of caramel as well.

This is the third Rock Band rum I’ve tasted, after Motörhead and Kizz, and the best one so far. The Rum, bottled by Danish 1423, is aged for up to twelve years in former bourbon barrels and bottled at ABV 40%. It’s a blend of rum from Jamaica, Guyana and Trinidad. By using pot still rum from Jamaica and Guyana and column still rum from Trinidad they’ve built up a well balanced rum with a strong aroma and a lot of character. The aroma, the taste and the quite long finish is strong and full-bodied. I recognize fruits, pepper, some burnt tones as well as some oak.

Tasted again after a long time and I still like the nose: Guyana is in the foreground, especially with molasses. The Jamaican funk has almost been lost over the longer standing time. The palate can't quite deliver what the nose promises

The rum comprises a blend of Jamaican, Guyanese and Trinidadian rum aged up to 12 years to create a smooth, well balanced, light rum, not so sweet. 7,2 :On the nose there are first of all smokey, funky, some iodine present, red fruits, molasses, wood. Nice esters. There is some reminiscence to whisky through smokiness, iodine just on nose. 7,5:The palate brings earthy, spicy notes, more tropical fruit, smoke, wood. Guyana and Jamaica are very present...Funny hint of tooth paste comes unexpected. 7,2:The finish is medium long, gentle and pleasantly warming, slightly spicy, pepper, sugar cane. I like it, nice for sipping...But nothing to be poetic

A small sample I got, after being flowerboy at one of my old Navy friends wedding. I may have expected a lot with the distillates from the listed countries (Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad), but it came out a bit short. Spicy and a bit woody in the nose, and some fruits, a bit of spise and some subtle smoke in the notes

Tasting again after about 2 years. Quite a gentle aroma, but I feel a hint of TDL. The taste for me highlights Guyana. Jamaica should also be mixed in, but for me it’s quite hidden in this blend. A big pity is the sweetening. Without it, it could be a pretty decent piece.

One of those rums that is alright to drink but the more you analyse, the more flaws you see. The alcohol is not very integrated. Which is masked by the dosage? But still you taste it. And the dosage makes it too sweet for me. As if I cannot reach the real flavours of this rum. Overall it just fall short on all fronts.

That is not how I remember it. It seems sweeter than roughly 2 years ago when I tasted it the first time. I think that sweetness is managable although on the edge already. 👃 Is not any special although it is fruity and somewhat fresh. Cannot describe it better than freshness like when you take a deep breath in the midst of forest. 👅 is sweet fruity, bit spicy as well and you can distinguish burnt sugar or maybe a charred barrel? All in all a nice sipper and if you play some music along it is almost ideal. Retaste: Agree 💯 with previous tasting although seems a bit diluted on the palate. Enjoyed it while attending the gig in Trencin 14.6.2023 Slovakia and it serves its purpose

A rum with a very good price-performance ratio for me. You can drink it very well neat, only a slight alcoholic aftertaste. For me, it is recommendable, the aroma on the nose is pleasant and interesting, on the palate comes the spice and a light smoke.

My RumRatings review from 5 years ago: The rum initially has a somewhat sharp and alcoholic nose. It needs to breathe a bit. Over time, more and more fruity Jamaica notes come through. I also find some glue. The nose is clearly dominated by the Jamaica portion here. I would guess WP. But that's really okay. On the palate, everything is a bit thin. There is a light pleasant sweetness. Also fruit and wood come through. In the finish, the rum is a bit spicier with a slight bitterness. I find the rum surprisingly good and authentic. With 43-45%, the rum would get a bit more body, which it lacks a bit. It must be credited that this was not artificially created. For beginners, a great way to experience Jamaica rum, which clearly dominates. The other two are hardly noticeable or get lost in the overall flavor profile.

Vanilla-forward in smell and taste, in taste and especially finish quite complex with fruit and minimal roasted notes (fits the Rammstein show, if you've never seen it live, you missed out :-P). Mild, sweet, creamy, very long warm, fruity finish. Drinks: - Neat: 4/5 - Rum Cola: 3.5/5

Quite an exciting nose with herbs, old wood, and dried fruits. I suspect a fairly characterful Jamaica share plays a role here. Flavor-wise then not quite so accessible and surprisingly thin on the tongue. Strange herbal liqueur note and bitterness. Pretty good so far, but I need to revisit it when I'm more versed in high ester and know if there are any here. Addendum: it's a grower. And it's the Jamaica share. What really makes this thing strange. Lovers will nod appreciatively but can't really do much with it. For beginners and franchise fans, it might be too strange. Very incomprehensible product concept for me.

On the nose still nice dominant notes of Enmore, which unfortunately get lost behind quite dominant sweetness on the palate. Obviously a navy blend designed for beginners on a solid quality level.

Solid blend! Nothing to complain about, all countries (Jamaica/Trinidad and Guyana) are recognizable and no part is too dominant. On the nose clearly Demerara Diamond, then Trinidad and Guyana on the palate, and in the finish Jamaica joins with some fruit and funk. Very harmonious. One of the few good German blends even though I'm not a fan of Rammstein :D

I expected more, but considering this is a basic rum - not bad. Besides spices, wood and sweetness, I slightly felt dark chocolate. - Repeated tasting revealed the full flavor of this rum, hence the higher rating.

Papaya, raisin and a whiff of egg in the nose. In the taste more spiciness and orange. In the finish still some chilli pepper. Fortunately not overly sweet.
