Somehow strange, this rum, after which Ecuador is difficult to assess. In any case, we have dried fruit on the nose and palate, and coconut can also be detected on the palate. But I don't think it's an 8.5.

29.10.2022 whisky & Rum Festival, nice event with a few friends and a few of our own bottles. Very well rounded rum with nice ABV integration. Long and warm finish.

Very tasty Foursquare - chocolate, toffee, dried fruit and some wood on the nose. Then caramel, dried fruit, roasted aromas and coconut on the palate. The latter, together with woody aromas, lingers on the finish. Alcohol well integrated, but could be better.

After a few minutes in the glass, the initial aroma is pleasantly vanilla with caramel. Subtle acidity and dark fruits. On the palate, the typical coconut flavor with lots of wood. Alcohol comes through slightly. The finish is good, dry, and slightly woody.

1st nose blood orange immediately very clear. Magical. Then comes almond paste, and banana fruit in particular. And cocoa again. The palate is super sweet, but the orange is less pronounced, disappearing completely at the end. A pity. Compared to the sixty six I drank last night, I'd give it a few points less. But it's still very good 😉

A good rum but the alcohol is not that well integrated. A small amount of water really makes the flavours and smell pop. The empty glass is fantastic and new herby, fruity smells emerge. Maybe the best part of the rum.
