Review by Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰
14.05.2022 Had a nice meet up with some nice rums, good friends and also new rum enthusiasts. Notes Light in colour. Nose Light, faint wood, cherry, floral, citrus, faint caramel. Palate Light, wood, light medicinal, light cherry, medium dry, lightly bitter, light floral, faint citrus, oily. Finish Medium long, light wood, oily, faint chocolate, citrus, light floral. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while to release all its flavours.

C: Light Gold N: Even reduced to 45% it has that oiliness I love in spirits. It reminds me of the 2009 Old Brothers, 9y at 63,3%. Perhaps my favourite Fiji. If someone has a bottle, please, I want it! All the good elements from Fiji are here. Light fruits such as pineapple, nail polish remover and medicinal smokiness. I also get rasp- and strawberry, all very sweet. In front of all those aromas there´s a phenolic wall that reminds me of Isla and even burnt eucalyptus. That wall is usually quite dense but, in this case, very subtle. M: Here is where we feel the reduction. The fruits and smokiness are there but fade away all too quickly. It loses too much of the nice nose fragrances if you ask me. A good rum to introduce column people to Fijian pot stills? Sure! F: Very short B: No
