Note: Activity at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement in evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. Very successful blend! The slightly increased alcohol content is very well chosen, oloroso sherry finish is very harmonious, not too dominant and gives nice fruity and nutty notes of fruit bread, plum jam and dark chocolate with bitter almonds. Not too sweet either and in the finish light tannins and cassis come through. Nice "uncomplicated" easy sipper that is very well suited for both beginners and advanced!

#7082 26.07.2026 Relaxing with a few samples while watching the Da Vinci Code. Decent rum with an OK price tag at release. Rounded profile with fruits, spice, chocolate, nutts, roasted wood, sherry, light ester and some caramel.

Nice blend, but doesn't quite hit my taste. The sherry finish is a bit too dominant for me; I feel this rum is one of the few where I might have wished for a few percent less or better integrated alcohol. So it's not exciting enough for me and for a crowd pleaser the alcohol is probably too dominant. But I quite like the fruity nose.

Number 19 from the Tastillery Advent calendar. Nice blend from Barbados and Jamaica. You can clearly smell the coconut, Barbados dominates this blend. The Oloroso finish is very fruity. On the finish spicy and with punch, despite "only" 43%. I think the alcohol could have been integrated a bit better, but otherwise a very tasty rum.

A well-rounded thing. Fits more into the Christmas season though. The sherry cask doesn't overpower the rum. Therefore balanced and quite tasty.
