Near-universal love here, with just one recurring grumble. Tasters find a rounded, gourmand agricole from Bielle: candied orange, spiced caramel, a touch of chocolate and a "very long finale" that keeps going. The 55.1% is well integrated but present — one Danish reviewer notes it needs to rest in the glass or the ABV masks the subtler notes. The only real gripe people raise is the price.

17.05.2022 Sampling at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, spice, light roasted wood, light caramel, light cherry, faint mint. Palate Round, balanced, fresh, light floral, light wood, medium spicy, spice, light orange, light mint. Finish Medium long and warm, light wood, light mint, light orange, faint caramel. Extra note. Need to rest for a good while or the ABV will cover up the more subtle flavours.

On the nose, we find the signature bielle. It's greedy, but the alcohol on the back of the nose is almost unpleasant. There's a hint of stewed citrus fruit (like candied orange), it's round with a spicy caramel edge. And on the back of the nose, with the alcohol, there's a hint of chocolate at times. On the palate, the spiciness takes over. The alcohol is very well integrated, stinging on the tongue but just right. The finish remains spicy, with a floral note at the end. A very long finish.

An incredible roundness for the proof. Lots of yellow fruits and roasted/compote citrus with elegant wood that lifts it all. Spices and cocoa take over at the end of the palate while keeping an incredible roundness. Endless length.
