Delicious rum with sand in the mouth :-) Quite windy here on Borkum. This one definitely convinces, Agricole is excellently recognizable, also naturally spicy and woody with a bit of vanilla and chocolate.

Bielle 2001 No. 12 And the last in the series... this one leans a bit more towards the classic Agricole side. Still on the darker, heavier side with dried fruit, but also with distinct vegetal aromas... especially on the finish

04.03.2017 Whiskymessen by whisky.dk with a few friends and also trying some whisky samples. Notes. A very nice and well balanced rum. Very nice Agricole notes with a long finish. I have since tried several of the 2001 releases and they're all really good.

Rhum Bielle LMDW 2001 X-Tasting: A unique set that Daniel has dug up here. Over time this rum becomes more complex, the aromas more intense. You can feel like sitting with the glass forever and discover new aromas! This one is especially fruitier on the nose than the others. Alcohol perfectly integrated!

Today I'm testing a few Bielles from BananaJoe's Megasplit. Compared to each other, these bottlings are at a very high level and differ only minimally. Although I'm not the biggest fan of the profile, it really grabbed me.

Epic BIELLE 2001 tasting. A great vintage, the set was consistently high quality. Only RX5741 and RX4918 were a bit too woody/bitter for me. There was a clear winner, the cask Kirsch selected was for me the most intense, harmonious. Here was a perfect mix of wood, fruit and spices. The blend is also great, but at 45% it suffers a bit as it's weak on the palate. Overall, I think the highest quality set I've tasted and I believe you'll never get this again.

"Big Bielle 2001 Cross-Tasting": Holy moly how different can a few sister barrels be?! Are you kidding me?😄 Super cool. This one is clearly more Agricole and closer to sugarcane both on the nose and palate. Alcohol perfectly integrated, practically no off-notes. If you like it a bit drier and fruitier, as well as more straightforward and less complex but all the more elegant, this is the right place. Very tasty and in the finish a subtle sweetness unfolds with a slight bitterness reminiscent of burnt Crème Brûlée. Plus some pear compote with pickled raisins. Magnificent!

A bielle full of surprises.first of all, a darker nose at the beginning which, as the minute goes by, becomes very greedy and round with sugar cane and fruit.on the palate, another surprise with green fruit, vegetal, woody and spicy notes.a little disappointment on the slightly short finish.

The nose is dark and concentrated with lots of dried fruit and furniture polish. The palate is slightly fruitier, more vegetal spices and a slightly minty finish. Complex and very woody from start to finish.
