One taster called it pure sugarcane "to the state of pure cane" — and that's the pull here. This unaged La Favorite lands intense and warm off its 71.8%, but the alcohol hides better than the number suggests. Expect fresh cane, grass, lime and a faint anise, with earthy and peppery notes on a long, warm finish. A few found the wet-grass side a touch much.

#4714 28.04.2024 Unaged tasting at home while relaxing in between the sets with Hulk on bluray 😊 Nose Fresh, intense, sugarcane, light citrus, vegetal, light floral, spice. Palate Intense, spicy, vegetal, light citrus, sugarcane, medium dry, faint anise. Finish Long and warm, sugarcane, vegetal, lime, medium dry, faint anise. The empty glass has light licorice, faint chocolate and grass.

Decent BdC, but for me a little too much on the grassy side, especially the light touch of wet grass or hay is not completely mine. Alcohol integration also not optimal, therefore no higher rating.

On the nose: First notes were pretty olive heavy, but it quickly changes to sugarcane dominant note. Fresh and intense due the young age and high abv. Vegetal. Light citrus notes. Taste: Intensity, dryness and anise notes at first. Then you get sugarcane with vegetal and earthy notes. Spices. Finish: Warm. Anise notes. Mild earthy notes. Sugarcane notes. Medium finish. My favorite of the La Favorite rums (pun intended) that i have tasted so far.

The nose is perfumed and pungent with ripe fruit, citrus, corn and vegetable. The palate is warm and enveloping(oily) with vegetal and earthy notes, then followed by floral, citrus, roasted hazelnut, to sweet and peppery notes on the finish, making it deep and complex. An extremely rounded delight that shows 20 degrees down. In the empty glass flowers and earthiness.

A good sweet and not aggressive BDC. Nose: sweetness, freshness. Palate: grassy then quickly very sweet++, with some spiciness. Medium to long length with sugar still, texture between watery and oily. 2025 I'll try it blind again: Appreciated the same way, very good original nose with sweetness and citrus, I didn't feel the alcohol. On the palate the BDF is unmasked, it heats up very pleasantly! Fat and sweet with a bit of earthiness at the end of the mouth, the finish heats again and more on the grass but pleasant without excess. I maintain the 8.2.
