Delicious spiced rum, is very tasty to enjoy neat. Can also be used as a mix in various combinations. Tasty quality spiced rum that is not extremely sweet. but certainly gives a velvety mouthfeel. The bottle also looks very nice. The total look of Canerock ROCKS

Overall a way too sweet rum in my opinion. Had a glass of this spiced rum after a better dinner at Såstaholms Castle just north of Stockholm. The Canerock Jamaica Spiced is pot still rum from Clarendon and Long Pond bottled by Alexandre Gabriel and Maison Ferrand. It’s infused with vanilla, coconut and ginger. Thereafter it’s aged for 6 months in PX-Sherry barrels and finally it gets a dosage of 25gpl of sugar.

Vanilla pudding on the nose, spices very nicely integrated into a thick load of fruit. Not artificial, no weird notes, one of the roundest noses I've encountered on a spiced rum so far. The pudding stays on the palate too, but it turns summery spicy. The sweetness is kept in check, with just a slight sharpness towards the finish. Delicious!

Retasting this one and would have loved to try it at a higher ABV. Well price to quality is an absolute hammer. You get a lot for your money here. I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle. The nose is complex and well rounded with fruit, and spices trailed by chocolate, coffee and caramel. Try and leave the empty glass for a few hours and then whif it again :-) The palate is sweet and fruity with wood, spices and caramel. The finish is medium long and sweet with wood, spices and a light minty note.

Canerock is a Jamaican spiced rum from Maison Ferrand, infused with natural spices. The vanilla beans are from Madagascar, the coconut from the Caribbean and the ginger is local. It's a spiced rum with unbeatable value for money. One of the best I've ever tasted, with its notes of vanilla, coconut, chocolate and spices, what more could you ask for? It's not too sweet either, which makes it really gourmand and pastry-like. With a really nice bottle and a very pretty wooden turtle illustration, I really like it, and it's unanimously appreciated by my friends and family.

I have now downgraded this rum significantly. My last consumption was over a year ago when I still liked these sweet rums. Now this is no longer my thing. Tastes like caramel pudding.

A rum that drinks without artifice. On the nose, a very pleasant coconut scent. On the palate, you feel vanilla, coconut, and even caramel with spices that make this rum delicious. A must taste!

Tested this spiced one without much conviction and finally not disappointed. It's not sickening and rather nice. It's above all a drink to serve ultra chilled. If you take it for what it is, then it's pleasant and the use of Jamaican rum brings a nice twist.

6:On the nose, the rum gently settles on a bed of sweet spices. It's coated with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla, like a smooth coconut punch. One could even speak of a creamy rum, so mellow are the aromas. With a little swirling of the liquid in the glass, the spices are released in a cloud of fragrance reminiscent of incense or patchouli. 5,8:The palate is very pastry-like, with sweet spices such as vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon, as well as a buttery, brioche-like sensation. The roundness is balanced, and the coconut milk and almond are quite tasty, as in a profile of American oak taken to the extreme. 5:The sweetness remains on the finish, roundedness vains... Ein sehr guter spiced mit angenehmer Dosage von 25g Zucker. Es geht also doch, Spiced Rum ohne unmengen an Zucker und künstlichen Aromen (Hallo DonPapa) Im der Nase viel Vanille, gefolgt von fruchtigen und holzigen Noten. Im Mund zuerst dominant Vanille, dann Holz und im Abgang leichte Kokosnuss. Bleibt angenehm und nach einem guten Essen ein schöner Digestif.

Another Revisit: Very controversial, I like it one time and hate it the other time. Anyways it is a bottle kill and I am not going for another one. Taking down slightly from 6.9 to 6.8. Revisiting: Agree 100% with what I said. I need to mention that I got used to it more than I thought. The taste is something I never felt in a rum, very specific signature like, I still think it is artificial but being so specific, I learned to like it so I am adding a 1 point up.Original review: I must admit that I did not like it at first. All I got was just an unnatural synthetic smell/taste. Don't get me wrong, it is still there but after 3rd try, I noticed it's complexity. First of all it is sweet alright.There are various notes in the taste as well as smell ranging from vanilla, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, marzipan, nougat to cardamom.Very complex however, it is unnatural and that is what is wrong with this one, you instantly know that the taste is unnatural, synthetic almost like if some real chemical flavor has been added which brings this one down for me.I believe that people who prefer sweet rums would certainly love it but for me it's really on the edge,so that I cannot figure out whether it's too much for me or not.Btw they label coconut taste-maybe synthetic one.

Smells like Dr. Pepper & cherry cola 🤣 For a spiced rum not as sweet as other spiced rum candidates... Jamaica comes through with a lot of fruit but overall it really just tastes almost only like Cherry Coke 😃

The many good reviews convinced me to give it a chance. Definitely better than many of the well-known blockbusters. Still recognizable as rum, but not that it comes from Jamaica. The vanilla is far too strong for that, which clearly reminds me of vanilla pudding. Unfortunately, the taste is also more artificial than I had hoped.

This rum hits my taste perfectly. The vanilla-coconut note on the nose really throws a party. On the palate, a sweet note comes first, accompanied by a slight sharpness and coconut note. The sweetness and coconut flavor remain in the finish.

Masterclass V&B 2 décembre 2025. 👃 Fumée de caramel cuit, cacahuètes grillées, infusion douce de vanille et de noix de coco, légère fermentation, sucre du fruit surmûri, chimique. 😋 Crêpe flambée à la banane, vanille, esters légers, du bois et des épices de cuisine, cake de Noël, note de fruits rouges. Toujours ce côté chimique. ⛳ Courte, douce, sucrée et épicée. La combo vanille, coco, chocolat le tout nappé de caramel fonctionne plutôt bien.

I didn't expect much from Canerock, so I'm pleasantly surprised. Spiced rums aren't exactly my favorite, but this one is very drinkable. Really nice bottle, the nose is gently sweet, fruity vanilla, maybe even floral. The taste is pleasantly sweet, vanilla, banana, coconut, pronounced spices.

The Canerock is an extremely sweet, coconut-toast and vanilla-heavy rum. / base rum. That wouldn't be entirely wrong and a matter of taste, but it also has something artificial. So rather mediocre.

First impression from the smell: the vanilla perfume that was popular in seventh grade. Not subtle or bakery-like, but synthetic in-your-face. Also coconut and a little hazelnut. On the palate then more vanilla and coconut and sweetness. Behind that you might guess a more complex rum. The finish offers the already known vanilla aroma for a long time. Not for me, every aroma seems synthetic and flat. Still tastes good, the combo of alcohol and sugar is like fat and salt in cheap potato chips. Not an outstanding taste, but still you want more. I like the similarly priced and flavored Angostura Tamboo better.

I have not drink spiced rum for a while. Aroma is little bit alcoholic but overall everything is beat by sweet/vanilla scent with combination of almost cake scent. Taste is very gentle but again overall sweet with vanilla, caramel and marzipan flavor. To be honest this rum is liquid cake in glass. Finish is short sweet with little bit of dark chocolate flavor. I am glad for this opportunity but I am not big fan of spiced, sweet rums anymore.
