7,2:On the nose there are floral notes of geranium, other herbal notes. Alcohol is present, the rum gives an impression of youth. Then vanilla and almond come in, before woodiness and tobacco intrude into the scenery. Vanilla gives a feeling of soft and sweet rum with some confectionery, like strawberry marshmallows. With an aeration it becomes fruitier, with syrupy strawberry and raspberries.Vanilla candy, cinnamon and caramel add complexity, with a darker side with the alcohol coming up. Then notes like toasted bread, light maple syrup, mocha and cocoa arise. 7,2:On the palate the vanilla is the very first, with very sweet fruit syrup. The wood and cinnamon with coffee cause the rum to become thick and dry.A milk chocolate shows up also. 7:This finish is sweet with vanilla and some sweet spices.

I næsen er der søde frugter. I smagen er der mørk kakao. Har fået en del smag af fad. For nogle sikkert for meget. Jeg synes dog sødme holder det flot.

Rebranded by Ron Esclavo, this juice is intended to be gentle and simplistic enough to appeal to as many people as possible. On the nose, scents of raisin and dried fruit mingle with oak, caramel, sweet vanilla spices and nuts. It's enticing enough for someone just discovering it, but bland enough for a finer nose. On the palate, the chocolate comes through with coffee, caramel, spices and raisin. It's mellow, sweet, without much complexity, just an easy-drinking candy for aperitifs. No need to wonder whether the alcohol is well integrated here. The finish is surprisingly longer than expected, but the aromas remain simple and identical to those described: sugar, coffee, caramel, raisins, chocolate, vanilla and light oak. A small rum for small occasions.

I like various rums like the ones from hampden, worthy park, uitvlugt, appleton to albert michler, cartavio, dos maderas and now PATRIDOM too. If somebody would ask my recommendation for a sweet but nicely balanced, full of flavour heavy on palate rum, I would go with this one. 👃 is not anything interesting for me notes of wood, fruit, vanilla, alcohol and weird synthetic chemical substance I cannot name. Palate is just a nice sweet chocolate / caramel / nougat / coffee, creme brulee, underlined by roasted sugar and oaky barrel taste. Just pure sweetness a tad bit too much of sweetness but hey, as a desert it's great for even us men. Perfect if you have a craving for something sweet. Btw the photo got me, I was reviewing the Selección Exclusiva (12YO)which is on the photo not the gran reserva (5-6YO). I found my sweet rum of choice, my dessert. Raising up a few points after several retastes. Short to medium finish. 26.1.2024 bottle kill.

First of all, the picture that is listed is for the Patridom Selección Exclusiva. I almost posted a review yesterday after trying that one 😅 it needs to be in the database because it's a good one. So today i tried the Gran Reserva. I could tell right away that it was quite a bit younger the alcohol isn't integrated very well imo. It makes it quite a bit sharper. For the rest it's pretty much ok for me. Woody, sweet, caramel and dried fruits. Not bad for what it costs but i would always pay the little bit extra and get the Selección Exclusiva, it's worth it.

24 Days of Rum – Black Edition – Day 01 Erster Eindruck: Angenehm holzig, vanilliges, rundes Aroma Nase: sehr süß, Karamell Gaumen: leider zunächst alkoholisch, dann entfalten sich sehr typische allgemeine Rum-Aromen Abgang: würzig, trocken, mittellang Gesamteindruck: durchschnittlicher Rum, die Nase gefällt mir besser als der Gaumen, beeindruckt mich ansonsten allerdings nicht

Nice, not offensive. Like the guy who sat in front of you in chemistry that you can’t remember the name of. Oak and vanilla. Not overly sweet but more sweet that I prefer rum. A brush of coffee cake. An easy everyday drop but doesn’t push out any of my top shelf gotos when I want something exceptional.

Ve vůni ovoce, dřevo, vanilka, karamel, cukr. Čekal jsem ještě víc cukru, ale ne že by to nebylo sladké. Žádný orchestr chutí se nekoná. Vládne hlavně karamel, cukr, vypálený sud, vanilka a sušené ovoce. Pro někoho, kdo se rozkoukává asi dobré, pro mě už to není.

An der Nase wie man es von der Dom Rep erwartet. Das Fass kommt primär zum Vorschein, nach einer Weile mit cremigem Vanillepudding. Setzt sich am Gaumen genauso fort, mit Rosinen und recht süß. Unspektakulärer irgendwie auch lecker

I also find this Patridom very tasty, surprisingly good for a 40%. Nice notes of chocolate, coffee and caramel on the palate, the chocolate is not so prominent on the nose. Very tasty in any case.

First sample from advent calendar from 1423 company. Not first sample from patridom. Tastes good, little bit alcoholic in nosing, but Sweet Woody Taste with chocolate tones. Not sure, if i need whole bottle :)

This rum will not hurt anybody. It is quite alcoholic and distinctly sweet DomRep juice. There is a market for this.
