I næsen er der søde frugter. I smagen er der mørk kakao. Har fået en del smag af fad. For nogle sikkert for meget. Jeg synes dog sødme holder det flot.

I also find this Patridom very tasty, surprisingly good for a 40%. Nice notes of chocolate, coffee and caramel on the palate, the chocolate is not so prominent on the nose. Very tasty in any case.

I like various rums like the ones from hampden, worthy park, uitvlugt, appleton to albert michler, cartavio, dos maderas and now PATRIDOM too. If somebody would ask my recommendation for a sweet but nicely balanced, full of flavour heavy on palate rum, I would go with this one. 👃 is not anything interesting for me notes of wood, fruit, vanilla, alcohol and weird synthetic chemical substance I cannot name. Palate is just a nice sweet chocolate / caramel / nougat / coffee, creme brulee, underlined by roasted sugar and oaky barrel taste. Just pure sweetness a tad bit too much of sweetness but hey, as a desert it's great for even us men. Perfect if you have a craving for something sweet. Btw the photo got me, I was reviewing the Selección Exclusiva (12YO)which is on the photo not the gran reserva (5-6YO). I found my sweet rum of choice, my dessert. Raising up a few points after several retastes. Short to medium finish. 26.1.2024 bottle kill.

Sample no.1 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2024. Easy sipper with a sweet caramel and woody vanilla flavour. Nice on the nose and pleasant on the palate.

Rebranded by Ron Esclavo, this juice is intended to be gentle and simplistic enough to appeal to as many people as possible. On the nose, scents of raisin and dried fruit mingle with oak, caramel, sweet vanilla spices and nuts. It's enticing enough for someone just discovering it, but bland enough for a finer nose. On the palate, the chocolate comes through with coffee, caramel, spices and raisin. It's mellow, sweet, without much complexity, just an easy-drinking candy for aperitifs. No need to wonder whether the alcohol is well integrated here. The finish is surprisingly longer than expected, but the aromas remain simple and identical to those described: sugar, coffee, caramel, raisins, chocolate, vanilla and light oak. A small rum for small occasions.

An der Nase wie man es von der Dom Rep erwartet. Das Fass kommt primär zum Vorschein, nach einer Weile mit cremigem Vanillepudding. Setzt sich am Gaumen genauso fort, mit Rosinen und recht süß. Unspektakulärer irgendwie auch lecker
