Sip this one neat and slow — it's a heavy, oily old Enmore Demerara from 1971, dark and thick from the first pour. Expect dried plum, coffee, cocoa and molasses, with pipe tobacco and a smoky, faintly bitter finish. One taster called it "grosses Theater" — pure old-Demerara opulence. A couple noted the classic Enmore smoke-and-ash sits quieter here than in some sibling vintages.

Great theater - old Demerara in grandiose opulence. On the nose and palate with an oily texture, heavy molasses sweetness, smokiness and dry fruits, which are more restrained in the other well-known vintages of the 70s Demeraras. Either way, it remains a great pleasure.

#6455 09.03.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after a pretty nice bike training. Now it is time for some music by Aurosonic. This is a great and wonderful bottling. Medium intense withnice molasses and smoke notes. Overall balance is near perfect.

Amazing! Velvetly, rounded, smooth, butterly, coffee, wood, black pepper, bit bitter, full of molasses in mouth, all in harmony, I like it a lot, top Demerara, I need to come back to it and re taste one day.

Sweet jam, slight leather, brown dry fruit, sweetish.. I miss the typical Enmore smoke and ash.

Here again I run into a big show. The color already suggests that this will be a very very dense and intense piece. Very old Demerara released in a super limited quantity. Nose full of dried plums, coffee and chocolate. The taste then fully corresponds and the finish is long with a bitter direction.
