A very complex intense Agricole! I'm thrilled, Agricole at cask strength just fits perfectly. Tasted again today: An almost unbelievably good Agricole, full of aromas from nose to finish, very complex. In my opinion, the wood note is perfectly integrated! Start of the 12-set from Daniels Megasplit.. I'm simply amazed by this bottling once again.

Expressive Bielle, whose longer maturation is clearly noticeable compared to the younger bottlings. Concise wood and spicy notes, plus somewhat heavy stone fruit and citrus aromas. A little more of the heavy fruitiness that the nose still promises could have made it to the palate to provide a more active counterpart to the barrel influence - but even so, it remains a great rum.

Great Bielle 2001 Cross-Tasting: Probably one of the best Bielles of all time. Incredibly elegant, intense notes of nougat, mint, fresh eucalyptus tea, sour cherries, and honey, and not too much wood. Amazing! For me, probably one of the best Bielles I've ever tasted. In the overall comparison, this one definitely takes the lead among the cask strengths and is also the "freshest" when it comes to the eucalyptus mint note. Overall, probably also the most aromatic and complex thanks to the highest alcohol content. An incredibly balanced harmony of bitter, sour fruity, and fresh spicy notes. Far from easy sipping, but that's not what this one wants to be. Killer stuff! In total, definitely the winner for me along with the 45%, with a slight edge due to the higher alcohol content.

This is a retaste for me and I stick to my initial score. It matches the other 2001 released and it's very close to the Danish release by Juuls. Fruity and floral at the same time. Very well balanced Agricole notes and the ABV is very well integrated. A rare bottle and if you get the chance and you love Agricole you should give this one a go.

Epic BIELLE 2001 Tasting. A great vintage, the set was consistently high quality. Only RX5741 and RX4918 were a bit too woody/bitter for me. There was also a clear winner, the cask that Kirsch selected was for me the most intense and harmonious. Here was a perfect mix of wood, fruit, and spices. The blend is also great, but at 45% it feels a bit weak on the palate. Overall, I think this is the highest quality set I've ever tasted and I don't think you'll ever get anything like it again.

Fruchtig in der Nase, dunkle Früchte - Kirsche und Cassis, würzig mit Anis Ein wow-Effekt am Gaumen... erst kurz Tannine , dann in einem Schwung die Süße und Feuchtigkeit von Cassis. Im Abgang etwa Lakritz und leicht Bitternoten Ein sehr schöner und vielschichtiger Rum

Its nose is very pleasant on the wood. It has perfect softness on the cherry. It’s subtle, you have to linger long, it’s closed, it needs to breathe to express itself, but the result is frankly top. On the palate the alcohol is perfectly integrated, it’s rich and concentrated. Unlike the nose, here it’s ultra expressive and concentrated. The attack is woody but the cherry quickly takes its rightful place! It’s an astonishingly indulgent sweetness on even softer caramelized notes. The finish is beautiful and long, very long... on spices, fruits.

Bielle 2001 Flight: 45% - Juuls - Cherry. Let's start with the 45%: Honey, cookies, fine spices, dried fruit, ripe banana, red fruits, earthy. Very fine and balanced. Nice mouthfeel. Warm, finest caramel or gingerbread. Warm and finely spicy finish. Juuls Vin & Spirits Compared to the 45%, naturally stronger. Beautiful notes of yellow and tropical fruits. Fantastic wood spice on the palate, but a bit bitter. I like the finish of the 45% a bit more. And now the Cherry…🍒🍒🍒 Cookies and gingerbread, cherry and wonderful, fine spices. The most complex and very, very good. On the palate very similar to Juuls. Very nice finish. Craftsmanship absolutely top tier. Complex, warm, perfectly balanced. The Single Casks are a bit woodier or slightly bitter, which personally doesn't bother me. What I hardly know from any other rum in this quality are the truly intoxicating spice notes. 🤩🤩🤩 The Bielle 2001 series stood unnoticed on shelves for years, away from the big hype. Great to be able to taste through part of the series. I already had Cask #2 and #8. I basically love Bielle, I can't put it into words, but at the end of the day, despite all qualities, there is no "must-have" feeling. First World Problems. 🤔🤔🤔
