Sipped neat, this Cuban column-still rum splits people right down the middle. The nose is the high point — sweet fruit, apple, vanilla, a little nut — but the palate turns wood-heavy fast, with caramel, chocolate and spice over a fairly thin body. At 38% several tasters found it sweet and lighter than its 15 years suggest.

Die letzten drei mir noch fehlenden aus dem 24 days of Rum Adventskalender. Nase sehr holzig, außerdem etwas Nuss und Vanille. Am Gaumen ähnlich, recht würzig, etwas Schokolade und Karamell kommen hier noch dazu.

Ein Alter von 15 Jahren suggeriert er nicht wirklich, stattdessen sehr süffig, viel zu dünn. Positiv fällt aber definitiv eine Note nach frischem Apfel auf, die nach einer weile zu süßem Apfeltee wird und das ganze doch wieder interessant macht

Noch einen Rum aus dem Adventskalender. Dieser mit nur 38 Prozent doch sehr süß. In der Nase etwas fruchtig und nussig. Auch im Geschmack trifft dieses zu. Keine Empfehlung von mir würde ich mir nicht kaufen.

24 Days of Rum 2024 - Black Edition - Day 18 Erster Eindruck: Fruchtig, Erdbeere, leicht und angenehm Nase: süße Früchte, etwas Vanille, ein bißchen Fass und Hefe Gaumen: hier überlagern die 15 Jahre im Fass andere Aromen, aber es bleiben Honig und Schokolade Abgang: mittelkurz, sehr typische Holz, Vanille und Röstaromen Gesamteindruck: spannender Kontrast zwischen Nase und Gaumen, ganz okay aber auch nichts, was mich besonders beeindruckt

Vôňa je príjemne ovocná, sladká. Zachytávam naznaky zeleného jablka, čerešne; prípadne višne. Chuť je už viac podobná kubánskym rumom, je plná aj keď konkrétne pri tomto kúsku je docela jemná. Klasicky možno cítiť vanilku, drevitosť, kakao prípadne čokoládu, sušené ovocie ako aj náznak kože. Finish je stredne dlhý a drevitý. Celkovo neurazí ani nenadchne.

Ve vůni sušené ovoce, vanilka, lehce ořechy. Chuť je přeslazená, karamel, ovoce, sušené ovoce, vanilka. Závěr sladký karamelový s vanilkou. Docela nepříjemný nahořklý ocas, který mi vadí ještě více než sladkost. Toto není můj šálek čaje.

Great to try a Cuban rum in US. Must have snuck through in this calendar. Caramel and plenty of oak. Golden pour. Wood sticks with you for a bit on the finish. Pleasant all around but perhaps not super complex. Day 18 on 24 days of rum.
