A world class 96 Caroni! Pure Caroni aroma, with plenty of power! And what's more, the presentation is great and when you consider the issue price, you have to start crying. A breathtaking bottling that doesn't need to hide behind the Veliers!

A palate wolf in nose sheep's clothing. Crazy, crazy, crazy! What an explosion of aromas in the mouth! And then at the issue price of EUR 7.50 for the 10cl bottle. 🤓 What more could you want? I'm going to go out on a limb here: once you've drunk this rum, you won't need another Caroni from Velier. 🤷♂️😍

30.11.2019 A great afternoon and evening with friends, good food and of course, rum. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Balanced, light wood, herbs, workshop, light leather, faint licorice, cherry faint caramel. Palate Oily, wood, dry, complex, light caramel, lightly sweet, licorice, workshop, cherry, faint smoke, light salt. Finish Long and warm, wood, dry, oily, light licorice, fruits, faint smoke. Extra note Very good ABV integration.

Absolute caroni essence with a surprising sweetness. Burnt rubber, tar, intense sandalwood, roasted and salted smoked almonds and some apricot jam and mango chutney with milk chocolate. Alcohol perfectly integrated, almost endless finish. Top! Thank you Oli for this opportunity!

Attunement to tomorrow's 10th GRFNose: Hammer. Fruity spicy slightly smoky, nice honey note, pleasantly woody. The alcohol is almost imperceptible, pleasant acidity, a bit herbaceous, little dirty, cherry, apricot, tangerinePalate: again the hammer, insanely complex. Spicy and fruity, well balanced acidity, slightly salty, almost like iodine , nice woody. The number of characters is not enoughOpening beginning

The nose already promises a lot! After an hour of breathing, it comes across with the typical Caroni notes - nicely fruity for a 96. The nose is less dirty than usual, apricot, papaya, tar, workshop is at the start! An explosion on the palate, wow, it really goes forward - full workshop, well dirty as we know the 96 vintage. Oily, tar, bicycle inner tube, rubber and phenols, caramel - aniseed and herbs on the finish! A Caroni from the textbook. Perfectly balanced for me, despite the high alcohol content. One of the best Caronis I have drunk to date!

Sweet, but really good! Even you taste like 30% of the legendary oil. ... Caroni is a Trinidadian distillery, producing at the height of its fame a rum that was added at a ratio of 1:10 to the namornik blend. It was too strong and strange to be pleasant on the tongue. In 2000, the distillery ceased production and closed. Only in 2010 did tasters appear who took a liking to the rum because of its special taste. And the interest grew. Caroni belongs to the category of "you need to try before you die" rums. I recommend it, Caroni is a truly unique rum.
