So, let's go to Madeira. The rum is very well balanced and good to drink. Great notes of baked apple, raisins, grapes and prunes. The alcohol is well integrated. Unfortunately, the rum could not convince me (btw. Madeira is not among my favorites)

This time I smell technicality and alcohol as such in the aroma, in the taste wood, alcohol and something like apples..or raisins I would rate the first taste as not much, but over time I'm getting the taste for it. The taste is rather less sweet, I like that the flavour stays on the palate for a long time, but it's not quite my kind of rum.

8,3:On the nose, sweet sugar cane honey, flowery, mineral and various fruits like dried, citrus, yellow and green fruits, spicy and roasted wood notes with caramel, baking spices, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the cane is vegetal, herbaceous, earthy, red fruits with raspberry, prunes, raisins and grapes arise, some confectionery(apple pie), leather, nuts, a hint of umami and rubber, solvents. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is sweet with sugarcane honey, flowery, herbaceous, vegetal and mineral, fruity with banana, dried apricots, raisins and prunes, citrus fruits, apples and raspberries.The wood is roasted with caramel, leather, pastry, fruitcake, later dark chocolate, fudge, spicy with vanilla, baking spices, dry&tannic, as the barrel impact is strong.When well rested, the cane becomes candied. 8,4:The finish is rather long, dry and tannic, the barrel impact is still strong, with various madeira/sweet red wine finish fruits, roasted wood notes, spicy, the cane is candied, fresh with tea, grassy and mineral.
