Romdeluxe Travellers Collectors Series No. 9
What surprises people about this Belize column-still rum is how nutty it gets — toffee and toasted nuts run from nose to a long finish, next to dark chocolate, dried fruit and spice. A few tasters catch cherries and yellow orchard fruit too. At 59.1% the alcohol is right there; one reviewer wished for a gentler 48% version.

How does Romdeluxe Travellers Collectors Series No. 9 taste?
Aggregated from 42 community reviews.
Nutty, chocolatey cask-strength Belize sipper Well-balanced and full, with chocolate, nuts, toffee and a long finish. Most enjoy it, but the cask-strength heat and column-still edge mean it isn't a beginner's pour.

Very nice chocolate and coconut at the beginning. The beginning is unfortunately a bit unpleasant, very alcoholic, column style.

For a first sip, the taste is very distinctive. It lasts a long time in the mouth. Tasty. The taste is woody with chocolate, rather dark for me, and also spices. There are many aromas in the rum. From wood, nuts, chocolate to beautiful caramel. I would definitely have it again.

Interesting Belize bottling that is quite nutty in addition to the classic spicy, caramel and woody notes. Nuttiness and toffee remain constant from the nose to the palate to the very long finish.

A rum I selected myself for a blind tasting because I wanted to taste a representative from Belize. In the aroma I smell cherries and later caramel and wood. In the taste, again cherries (there is an oloroso cask finish), wood..and alcohol..I like it, but it is definitely not a rum for beginners and I would like it even more with 48%...or if..it would stay in the cask for a few more years - for 10 or 12. The aftertaste is long, full..slight sweetness at the end. But for the price/performance ratio, great.

Nice dark chocolate taste with hint of spice.

Tasted at home. Got this bottle together with the RDL from the Dominican Republic (65% abv). Smell and taste is very nice, well balanced. Paid 72 euro's all in for this bottle So, definitely worth the price. Although the artwork is very nice, the printing quality lacks.

17-01-2025 Decent Travellers rum. What you can expect from age and price. Often the better rums from RomDeLuxe are to be found in their Collector Series. Spicy nose and taste. Nothing major but a decent Belize rum
