I just don't get along with the 2000 bmmg Mark. Alcohol absolutely not well integrated, sourly smoky and tobacco-heavy and much too woody. Sorry but this is for me a failure.

Independent Mount Gay. Let's go. Nose: juniper. Yoghurt. Citrus. So there's a weird mix of acidic fruits and dairy going on. Whiff of smoke...very faint. Interesting. Not your common rum. The juniper/gin note is very much there Taste: so there a bit of smokiness here, from the cask?? Peppery/spicy. Some freshness. The dairy is gone though. Typical Mount Gay flavours with an edge. It's a weird one. Will retry soon. As for now...decent old rum.

Solid Mount Gay, which has a little too much anise for me personally. Reminds through the herbaceous mint something of Clarendon.

Im Direktvergleich zum Rumclub Ed 23 um einiges schwächer. Es fehlt etwas Komplexität und das Honig Aroma kommt nicht so geil durch, leider auch minimal alkoholisch im Abgang

A very tasty, strong rum that is beautifully balanced when nosing. On the palate, the rum is intense with lots of spice, herbs and a very creamy structure. Compared to Rumclub BMMG, it is rather fruity and sweeter with beautiful roasted aromas. The Rumclub is smokier with more cask... I like the RC a touch better.

This is a nice rum especially at the price. The age is very present in the profile as the wood takes the front seat along some fruity and spice notes. Nice warm/spicy on the palate and I like the smoky wood it serves your palate and finish.

Delicious Mount Gay with plenty of power from the barrel. Still clearly fruity on the nose. Nice smokiness in the taste and finish with a little honey and herbs as well as tobacco. All in all, a nice rum with a bit of variety.

Han noch schon ne Weile drauf gefreut. Heute ist es soweit. Die Nase relativ schwach aber karamellig. Am Gaumen doch gut holzig und würzig. Ein ganz eigene Geschmack. Karamell-Menthol würde ich sagen. Mittelstarker bis starker Abgang.
