Side by side with other 91 PMs, this is very much 200% on herbal and anise notes on the nose. Gives it a very intense and distinct profile, however, losing some elegance and more suttle notes present in the other bottlings. Palate also dominated by anise and liquorice. This is nice and intensively presented. However, again quite a bit of the more suttle and interesting notes which are present in other bottlings is lost along the way.

Very herbal Uitvlugt, should be attributed to the PM Marque. Exciting basic profile of licorice, wood and some toffee. Unfortunately, this is once again pushed to the fore by a somewhat irritating sage fennel note that has been present in some Artesanal bottlings over the past two years. For me, the impact in the direction of cough tea and herbal liquor is a bit too intense. Comes for me therefore not to the better continental aged PM Marques.

Edit: Overall, this is a very strong representative of its kind. I found it very exciting that it stands out from the others. Once again, it's a rum that you either like or dislike. As is so often the case with RA. Thanks to DomM for a quick taste when swapping samples.

Alcoholized, woody, herbal tea.In the nose still slightly fruity next to the herbs. Then very woody and herbal on the palate. Interesting, but not quite round.

Without having read other reviews (you're always wiser afterwards 🤷): Quite herbal rum, quite citrusy on the nose (kumquat?), the alcoholic spiciness only subsides late on the palate, then enormous herbal palette, but blind I would have placed it much more in Jamaica, reminds me strongly of the last Worthy Park from RA - and unlike many others I found it really good. 😋

Once again a herbal Uitvlugt with licorice, wood, spices, fennel and subtle fruit aromas. If the ABV wasn’t so strong, one could think of a rum infused with herbs. Alcohol well integrated.

Would the quite surprisingly fruity nose only rudimentarily reflected in taste this would probably be one of the first continental matured uitvlugts that tastes to me. But alas, it is again mostly pencil, herbs and resin, as well as wood and bitter licorice. Alcohol is relatively well integrated but fun makes me unfortunately not...

A Uitvlugt Port Mourant with a nice personality. The nose is attractive, offering a nice aromatic balance: first, there is the freshness of vegetal and herbal notes, then a bit more roughness with wood (barrel, pencil shavings) and spices (anise, licorice, chili, pepper). A mineral influence accompanies the fruitiness that develops over time, first on dried fruits, then citrus, green apple, and finally pineapple. An evolving and well-constructed nose. The attack on the palate is quite straightforward. The body is light, a bit dry and oily, then develops a typical Port Mourant aromatic palette: the wood is present, as well as pencil shavings, tobacco, roasted notes, and those aromatic herbs leaning towards a slightly bitter tea. Dried fruits and citrus persist a bit but are overshadowed by spices (chili, anise, licorice) that take over. Despite fairly well-integrated alcohol, it remains a powerful profile, typical of Guyana and what the Port Mourant still can offer. The finish is medium-long and extends the Port Mourant markers: wood, pencil shavings, warm spices, herbal notes, tea, and bitterness are present but fade quite quickly. Some aromas linger at the end on raisins, sap, and minerality. A rather well-made Uitvlugt PM with a pleasant structure but lacking depth and elegance to be truly amazing.
