With its 67.5% ABV, this representative from Down Under initially tingles a lot on the nose. After a bit of air, that settles down and the fruity notes of yellow stone fruits, slight glue, and minimal roasted aromas come through. On the palate, the yellow fruits continue, paired with a bit of tea, vanilla, and a pleasant sweetness. In the finish, you feel the high proof as a nice warmth, and the fruit stays nicely on the palate.

What a board! This is probably the most quaffable and at the same time the oldest Australian I have drunk so far... Incredibly intense after peach iced tea, apricot compote and mirabelle jam with vanilla, peach brandy in a wooden barrel (like the gölles I have), surprisingly little wood notes, some floral honey, jasmine tea, croissant with bitter orange jam and just extremely delicious and a surprisingly long finish. The alcohol content is also extremely well integrated.... In short: I'm just blown away by this Australian!😍 I really would not have expected!🐨 Am glad that I got me 2 bottles!

Very delicious australian🤤 Lovely taste of peaches like a mix of peaches icetea and rum 😜 In mouth reminds me also like biting in a fresh habanero chili 😬 The alcohol is integrated very well. In direct comparsion of beenleigh 2007 = RC > RA🥃

Today 5 Australians in the glass. 1st Rum Club 14 yr: light fruity, very present on the palate with a medium-long finish. 84 pts. 2nd Rom Deluxe no. 40 15yr: Already quite different from the first Rum Club. Much drier. Also very fruity, although the fruit here is rather dark berry. The finish is unfortunately a little mettalic. 85 pts. 3rd Rum Club no. 40 16 yr: Similar to the first Rum Club, only with more wood and much drier. Although not as dry as the Rom Deluxe. I don't think the alcohol is well integrated here. 80 pts. 4th RA 2007 15 yr: Very similar in profile to the first Rum Club due to its dominant light fruits. However, this rum is much more intense and complex. An absolute firework display on the palate! Apricot, mirabelle plum and peach in such an intense form is impressive. If the finish were a little longer, this would be a terrific rum. But very good as it is! 88 pts. 5th Ferroni 2013: Absolutely not comparable with its colleagues. Totally barrel-driven. Very intense on the palate with dark fruits, wet wood and leather. If you like rums with a very strong barrel influence, this is the perfect companion for an evening by the fire. I like it too. 81 pts. I love the concise dryness of the Rom Deluxe. A piece of desert in the mouth =D It also stands out somewhat from the others thanks to its dark fruit. The two RCs and the RA are the most comparable, although the RA is by far the best for me.

8,1:On the nose, the first impression we get is mostly medicinal with a glue and woody with roasted notes like nuts, leather, spicy. We get some faint yellow fruits with apricots, faint citrus. On aeration, the picture gets a little better with herbal, vegetal notes, chilli becomes quite strong, some confectionery with cookie dough...So, no drama... 8,4:On the palate, the attack is intense, especially with chilli and cucumber for a sec.The balance is sustained with yellow fruits like apricot, mirabelle plum, later peaches, an apple is in cooperation with. The wood spicy with baking spices, vanilla, salty, roasted with pastry, caramelized burnt sugar, honey. After resting the rum, the wood is more charred, syrupy and creamy, the molasses vegetal, herbaceous. 8,5:The finish is the most balanced, tasty, round, dry and a bit tannic, smoky, charred wood notes and delicious yellow fruits and some orange keep the rum in nice balance. Edit:27.6.25

Unfortunately, I have nothing more of the RumClub Ed. 20. So the Rum Cask 2007 (58.2%) must serve as a 'next of kin' for a comparison. At RA I first notice the high ABV on the nose. After 20 min, then come nice notes of yellow fruits, less as a fruit basket, rather boiled down or in jam form, plus cake, vanilla and the longer I wait, also clear herbal notes. The same fruits on the palate, but more candied, plus barrel and espresso, surprisingly sweet on the finish. I like the RA quite well, and clearly better than the Rum Cask!

I don't think I've ever had a rum with this peach note! Reminds me in taste very much of the Spirit of Rum Australia, which is similarly strong and spicy and impresses with this subtle chocolate note. I also got some grape here as well, which I didn't notice in the SoR until a blind tasting. Blind was there a similarity to some Armagnacs, which I would also sign here. What's new with the RA here is the aforementioned peach note, which surprised me but really picked me up. The 67.5% is clearly recognizable and present, no question, but still gives the whole strength and depth. Overall, a nice bottling from the house RA, after last but some failures were there.

Rum Artesanal is a radiant, rigorous rum. The nose is pleasantly fruity, with apple, apricot, citrus and pineapple. Spices (chili, pepper, vanilla, herbaceous notes) are fairly quiet, with a honeyed, caramelized sweetness in the background. Leather, glue and brandy add a little more character, but the alcohol is incredibly discreet. A pleasant, romanticized olfactory profile. The attack on the palate is powerful and warm, but remains highly aromatic, particularly on the fruit (apricot, peach, apple, pear, mirabelle plum, citrus). The spicy, caramelized flavors are quite delicious, counterbalancing the leather, glue, wood and full-bodied roasted notes. The alcohol is superbly well integrated, and the rum is very pleasant to drink. The finish is long, dry, even astringent, spicy, hot and smoky, but paradoxically still round, fruity and honeyed. The flavors follow on from the palate. A very nice Australian profile, easy-drinking and very good value for money.

Gefällt mir in Summe sehr gut.

This Beenleigh is surprising, not at all what I expected! Compared to the other RA from 2007, these are two completely different rums! My previous reference from Velier falls behind! A very pleasant fruity nose of mirabelle plum, apricot and light sweetness! On the palate it spreads creamy, starts with a sweetness of a honeycomb, then changes to fruity, whereby yellow fruits also predominate here, gradually a flavor of fruit, wax and light polish emerges! Very unusual, but definitely delicious! At the end, slightly spicy allspice comes through! Dee finish is relatively long...with a lasting heavy fruitiness! RA has managed a very good bottling! My new reference

A great Beenleigh. Amazingly fruity. Reminds me of a fruit basket of yellow fruits. Then on the palate it is woodier with light honey notes and very creamy. Finish lightly chili. A great product.
