Here's the twist: the nose punches above its 40%, with chocolate, caramel and a port-like fruitiness several tasters didn't expect from such a young Guyana rum. Number 13 from the Tastillery Advent calendar. Very weak and thin on the nose. After some time in the glass you can smell some wood and some citrus fruits. Taste very thin and watery. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer much.

Fine rum. Nice chocolate taste on the nose and also on the palate. Slightly sweetish, but somehow this rum has a strong taste. The sweetness hardly stands out, really top rum.

I really like the nose, especially considering it only has 40%. Expressive towards port or sherry finish. But on the mouth too diluted. Sweetness is clearly noticeable and otherwise there are some fruit notes and smokiness. The finish is tasty and positive.

Trade fair tasting, so brief: Fruitier than the Double, but with fewer chocolate notes. Overall also rougher. Unfortunately by far the weakest release so far.
