Tasted together with DomM in the Blume von Hawaii. As is now known, I am not the biggest fan of bottlings from Belize. Also in this one I find the alcohol again very present which I find a bit disturbing

And then a little Belize, which I've been putting off for too long. Definitely what you expect, a light sweetness, especially chocolate, caramel, and toffee, but also some coconut is noticeable.

This rum is 58% so cask strength and has depth of chocolate notes that just grow on the pallette. It reminds me of rum and raise ice cream which is always delicious it's just the finishing notes of sweetness that stop it from achieving a 10.

The third rum from the online tasting of the Rum Club on 09.05.2020 ... and for me the second best. Belize 2005 S.B.S. The Single Barrel Collection Travellers Distillery Distilled: 2005 Bottled: 08.2019 Aged 14 Years 58% Ex-Bourbon Cask One of 315 Bottles Molasses-based rum Color: Chestnut brown, oily Smell: Smells deliciously of toffee and caramel, more precisely like Schoko-Riesen (chocolate-covered caramel candies). Needs time in the glass, then orange aromas develop. Taste: Creamy with toffee, chocolate and rum raisins with natural sweetness. But it has quite a kick. Finish: Long and intense ... still toffee. Conclusion: Very tasty rum without weaknesses, like basically all I know from Belize. However, they are all quite similar to each other.

Smell already very sweet with toffee, popcorn and vanilla. Taste-wise then a nice contrast: mature, quite rough but soft and clearly more grown-up than it suggests. Overall a nice overall experience; the alcohol could have been a bit better integrated.
