Zusammen mit DomM in der Blume von Hawaii verkostet. Wie man mittlerweile weiß bin ich nicht der größte Fan von Abfüllungen aus Belize. Auch bei dieser finde ich den Alkohol wieder sehr präsent was ich ein wenig störend finde

Geruch schon sehr süßlich nach Toffee, Popcorn und Vanille. Geschmacklich dann ein schöner Kontrast: Reif, recht rau aber weich und deutlich erwachsener als es der vermuten lässt. Insgesamt ergibt sich ein schönes Gesamterlebnis; Der Alkohol hätte ein wenig besser eingebunden sein können.

This rum is 58% so cask strength and has depth of chocolate notes that just grow on the pallette. It reminds me of rum and raise ice cream which is always delicious it's just the finishing notes of sweetness that stop it from achieving a 10.

Der dritte Rum aus dem Online-Tasting des Rum-Clubs vom 09.05.2020 ... und für mich der zweitbeste. Belize 2005 S.B.S. The Single Barrel Collection Travellers Distillery Distilled: 2005 Bottled: 08.2019 Aged 14 Years 58% Ex-Bourbon Cask One of 315 Bottles Rum auf Melassebasis Farbe: Kastanienbraun, ölig Geruch: Riecht lecker nach Toffee und Karamell, genauer gesagt nach Schuko-Riesen. Braucht Zeit im Glas, dann entwickeln sich Orangen-Aromen. Geschmack: Cremig nach Toffee, Schokolade und Rumrosinen mit natürlicher Süße. Hat dabei aber einigen Bums. Abgang: Lang und intensiv ... immer noch Toffee. Fazit: Sehr leckerer Rum ohne Schwächen, wie eigentlich alle, die ich aus Belize kenne. Allerdings sind sie einander alle recht ähnlich.
