CDI Foursquare Barbados 2011
Opinions land all over the place on this single cask. A few find it balanced and tasty, but more tasters call it the weaker side of Foursquare: dark, roasted, slightly bitter, with alcohol that pokes through. You'll get vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and oak, plus faint pineapple. Several note it needs a long rest in the glass before the subtler notes show up.
- Dark chocolate, cocoa
- Foursquare character
- Cask strength

How does CDI Foursquare Barbados 2011 taste?
Aggregated from 15 community reviews.
Dark, roasted Foursquare with a bitter edge Divides the room. Typical Foursquare cocoa-and-oak notes are there, but several tasters flag rough alcohol integration and a bitter, roasted edge that drags down the finish.

Very balanced raud distillate. Complex and very tasty. Wat can I say Another good work from “foursquare”

Quite alright. The alcohol could be better integrated. I had hoped for more

18.06.2022 Running through some samples at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, pineapple, light coconut, faint chocolate, spice. Palate Wood, light roasted, fruity, pineapple, light coconut, light chocolate, spice, faint vegetal. Finish Medium long, light wood, dried fruit, light citrus, faint chocolate, light orange. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while or the ABV will overshadow the more subtle flavours. ABV integration could have been better.

Einer der schlechteren Foursquare. Typische Foursquare Noten kommen relativ deutlich durch. Leider werden diese von alkoholischer Schärfe und Bitterkeit unangenehm begleitet. Der Abgang ist ziemlich kurz.

Relatively average foursquare. Alcohol could be much better integrated and overall it is something very dark, roasty and slightly bitter. Unfortunately, does not really convince me.
