The surprise here: blind, most tasters didn't peg this as an STCE Long Pond at all — several guessed a low-ester Hampden. Very nice bottling! #standwithucraine I enjoyed this one a lot. The DOK barrel is well noted and make a good mix with the LP. Btw. Hampden and Long Pond are my favorite distillers! In the nose you’ll get the full power of the ST<3CE fruit basket paired with a high impact of ester and the sherry cask. Very lovely. On the pallet it continious with those notes. The finish is quite a bit unspectacular, but the lovely typical fruity LP notes remains for many many minutes 🤤🤤 PN: I let it rest for about 30 min. In comparsion to the Cambridge 2010, this one i like much more.

I first smelled it and thought it doesn't have to hide behind a DOK! Then I saw that it was actually aged in an ex-DOK cask. On the palate Long Pond is still in the foreground, although the alcohol is not perfectly integrated. Still, it's fun!

Tasted again with Serge in a very spontaneous sample swap action. At first sip not immediately recognizable as a Long Pond STCE. Blind, I would most likely, as Serge also suspected, have guessed a low ester Hampden. Alcohol is super integrated. Very good easy sipper. At a fair price. Delicious.

In the nose, a wonderful fruit basket with light ester!On the palate, the roasty spicy flavors predominate more! TheFruit is discreetly perceptible!The same applies to the finish!Ester accompanies it from the nose to the finish!For me, not a typical STCE, but very neat!The DOK finish is noticeable

#4666 23.03.2024 Relaxing at home after picking up two sets of online tasting in Flensburg. At the same time planning what to bring to Blåvand when I visit a fellow RumX from Germany. Nose Intense, wood, light roasted, fruity, ester, polish. Palate Intense, medium dry, wood, roasted, fruity, ester, faint floral. Finish Medium to long, medium dry, roasted wood, light cherry. I really like the cherry note in the profile. The empty glass has some light nutts, vegetal and faint leather notes.

Color straw Aroma spices, fruit, almonds, straw Taste fruit, spices, pungency and then strong esters, fairly long ester finish somewhat reminiscent of DOK from HV but esters are less pronounced ABV I guess around 55% In the nose I thought of Haiti but the taste is Hampden ester Jamaican

DOK influence very strong to smell and taste(Fat glue bomb🤣).... Alcohol not optimally integrated despite slight dilution. If he lingered 20min in the glass also come light fruit notes ,some wood and honey with ... All in all, nice LP with yet strong finish.The best, however, is the good feeling in hard times with the purchase to have done something good .Thanks for such actions, it shows there is also still good ✌️🥃❤️🇺🇦🇯🇲

8,3:On the nose, esters and nail polish bump into our nosetrils, with fermented, yoghurt like tropical fruits with pineapple, banana and citrus fruits, slightly vegetal and some roasted wood. On aeration, some pungent notes arise, perhaps a bit rotten red fruits, the rum becomes spicy, floral, the wood brings pastry and leather. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is medicinal with esters, pungent with overripe, fermented, slightly rotten tropical, red and citrus fruits, in combination with vegetal molasses with hay and olive, slightly bitter, dry, the wood is roasted, smoky with confectionery, leather and burnt sugar, spicy and salty. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry, the molasses is vegetal, the wood roasted, smoky and spicy, the fruits tropical, red and in company of peaches....

Small on-the-go tasting during sample swap at Zabo. It was poured and I didn’t guess LP blind, and certainly not STCE. Sure Jamaica, alcohol nicely integrated but clearly less estery than it should be. Good, but not what I expected as a tropical STCE fan. Still tasty though 👌

Young Long Pond with a message. And it applies in the new year too. 🇺🇦 On the palate more spicy and roasted, in the nose the fruits dance instead. Already intense but not overwhelming. Delicious 🤤

Beautiful Long Pond with a very intense barrel influence from the colleagues by the dock. The revival works beautifully, I left it in the glass for 15 minutes and the subsequent integration of alcohol is fine, the eyebrow-raising notes in the mouth linger long after finishing.

... Hampden, legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery you can feel wild esters, after which your whole body soaks in the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

I like this type of rum. On the nose, a fruity punch mixed with nail polish and wood. On the palate again fruit, wood and at the end an alcoholic finish combined with the dryness of the wood. Medium finish, with notes of sugarcane... the flavor profile is more like a white rum, but that doesn't bother me.
